Well here we are RND 15 and it’s the West Coast vs the Reigning Premier the Western Bulldogs.

This is quite intriguing as the Dogs have been quite hungover this season, as seen in this footage here, trying for some weeks to get out of the party mode and into premiership mode

West Coast Free Kicks on the other hand have been downright deplorable in Melbourne, with performance are akin to hiding in box of shame and waiting for next week’s game at home.

WHAT WE NEED TO DO TO WIN

We have to set up our Maul to allow the lads to tackle near the try line as the Dogs attempt to gain meterage towards our goal line. We must try and retain possession so we can form the ruck and not see exquisite “handballs” from the premiers such as this beauty filmed earlier this season. You can really see in the slow motion replay how exceptional they are hand-balling the footy at AFL level.

KICK MORE GOALS THAN THEM. :footy:

MATCH UPS

YEO v BONT
Yeo is in AA form, will be smashing the B&F and assorted ladies and has a genuine match up v Bont, who has hair that most women would die for. Crucial break away pace for both, these two will go a long way to setting up their sides win.

SHEED v MACRAE
Sheed has been a revelation in 2017, the only negative being his tank. And our very own supporters labelling him less than B Grade...wtf? He will be pitted up against Macrae, who has also had a very good 2017. They are both capable of inside grunt and opening up the play on the outside. Intriguing match up.

BARRASS/ERIC/SCHOEY v STRINGER/DICKSON/REDPATH
This is a concern as both Stringer & Dickskin are types that have the ability to turn a game on it's head and our defence at times has been quite leaky.

REST OF MIDFIELD BATTLE
They provide run and dash, working hard both ways whilst we provide corralling and half tackles and one way running, especially in Melbourne.

Whilst our mids have given it a red hot crack the past fortnight against very good midfield, the Bulldogs on a quick track that is Etihad is a whole different kettle of fish, especially in Victorian air. It could be quite ugly, ala the Essendon game. Or maybe the hawks game...perhaps Richmond? I hope for the Norf game myself. haha lolnorf.

2017 is the closest season I can recall for some time, if ever, with no team having an extended run at dominating. If we can drop Priddis (bahahaha, good one Biggie ol' chap) and add some extra legs by adding Partington to team, we aren't without a chance.

But we all know the outcome here.

Predicted changes:
IN: Wellingham
OUT: Hurn

Tip Melbourne + Cold Air + Schoey out for swinging at air + number of ruck scrums =

Melbourne have copied the dogs game plan from last season, as did the Saints earlier in the year against us. Throw the ball. I don't know how they keep getting away with it!! I can see it from the three tier stand, with a skin full, and my terrible eye sight, how the f**k can the umpires not?? Oh that's right, Melbourne are the feel good story of the year, like the Dogs last season, let's watch them all rugby pass their way to a "lucky" flag.

I've watched dees a fair bit recently and one thing I notice is they always always go for this flick across the shoulder handpass.

It's basically a throw but all teams do it. However Melbourne does it almost incessantly. They wait for the opposition to commit to the tackle and then handpass over the shoulder sideways. It continues in these weird circles until someone is free

I think we have tried to pull that method off in the last year or so but haven't quite nailed it.

Melbourne seem to have honed down this version of it where the arms are being freed pre-emptively and the momentum of freeing the arms upward propels the ball over the shoulder.

It sounds silly but it seems to be a genuine game plan now - rather than trying to break tackles just flick it sideways rugby style.

Sometimes it doesn't work as the ball gets flicked blindly to the opposition but it seems to be the in vogue way to win clearances

if every players runs it works. man up on them and it falls apart

we went back to zoning off too often

What an awful ****ing weekend for me.

First we lose a game we had in the bag, then I come up against the dirtiest ****ing team I've ever played against, then I learn SPP resigns and Schofield is banned for touching a little staging prick.

**** this week, **** it all.

I really need a release with a victory against the AFLs own rugby side. If we don't, this board will become witness to the biggest meltdown known to man.

I noticed on the weekend that they reverted back to a zone when their mids got on top. All we need is someone to just take charge and will themselves to go the ball ala Danger or Viney type.

Turns out from round 4 to round 12 in 2014 we lost 7 of 8

Our only win was a 111 point pasting of GWS in round 8 at Subiaco
Ah yes JK's 11.0 I think?

Strange season 2014, start 3-0, suddenly go 4-7. Then we beat Adelaide at AO and we're suddenly in finals contention. Favourites to finish 8th going into the last round only to have Richmond ruin everything.

Damian Barrett on footy classified highlighting the Bulldogs favourable umpiring run in a week we're due to play them

Is this for real ?
Barrett > All is confirmed. Priddis to 20 and 3, Partington to be picked and get 20% game time, gets dropped for another 6 weeks, us by 10 goals.
