I understood it if:

a) Pittonet was genuinely ready and stable enough in the knee to hold ground at general stoppage ruck contests.

b) we'd been training TDK up to play up forward and could compensate with aggregate pressure

We didn't do any of that, and we're getting exploited via massive overlapping runs by Adelaide.
