This is currently playing out as dreaded, i fear.

Saints clogging it up defensively and forcing us into bad entries. We butchered half a dozen easier entries and missed opportunities and by the end of the quarter had slowed up and started bombing long and hoping.

Then the other way they are creating just enough pressure and panic to generate occasionaly goals.

We need to settle, get back to our overlap run and start hitting targets consistently.

I don't get it with Dow. He can get the footy, but mentally is just shot. He just had to stand up in that last moment and wear the pressure and do anything at all but hand it back to the opposition 60m out in the center of the ground. And if course he squibs it right to them for the goal that is the difference in the match. He offers so little defensice pressure as well... He does nice things and things that arent acceptable even at reserves level - makes a nice sub but an awful full match player, as much as he deserves the run

That Cerra injury might be the difference unfortunately. One injury too many

I agree but he’s forced to step up with 75% of our A midfield out of the side. We’re kind of forced to put him in the contest
