Didnt see him beaten in a contest against the swans, even when outnumbered. Thats a premiership player. If he puts on 10 kilos he will be scary. Perfect disposal today too.

p.s. Macmahon has had a haircut. does this mean hes serious?

Will be an out-and-out gun. Dermie seems to think so - is that a good indication?

Also love the poise of Birss. He dropped a couple of marks today, but overall continues to show a lot. Like very good players, he seems to have the time and wherewithal to make intelligent decisions with the ball.

Go Murph he played a greast game today hopefully theres more to come this boys gonna be a star.Gilbee was also impressive with his long goal.

Go the young guns

On League Teams on Fox on Thurs, John Barnes said that all our young players would "move on", because they'd be offered more money to join other clubs. I think he wanted to say "because the Bulldogs will fold" but managed not to.

BTW he tipped Sydney, so that shows how much he knows.

Murphy is going to be great

:) It was great to see all the young guys contribute to a thorough win today. Robert Murphy is on his way to stardom.

Go Doggies - you're on your way up!!

Just back from Sydney

Go Doggies:)

Yes, if we had kicked straight we possibly would have had five wins which would have placed us in a strong position for the rest of the season.
By the way Murphy was very good today seems to have more time than most

PS your namesake was a pretty good footballer for the club

Hes bloody fantatic! He went to skool wit me a few yrs ago for 1 yr!! I luv the way when he gets it u no he won't stuff it up. He thinks before he gets rid of the ball. I noticed that Birss gets rid off the ball quickly and thinks of the bigger picture and whats going to ahppen further down the ground rather than looking good and passing it to the nearest person.

Murph was great today...though i was surprised to see 19 possessions on the stats page. I was also surprised to see that he only hopes to play 100 games (in the article on the official website)...though probably good that he isn't getting ahead of himself.

Curly...i think Barnes still might have a complex about that game in round 21, year 2000 lol

Mo...Gilbee did actually kick a goal from outside 50....set another one up for Gia in the goal square. Its a shame he has missed so many goals this year though, as it hasn't done justice to his performances which i think have been pretty good.

He has only played a little over a dozen games so it will take a while for him to settle in.
When he first got to the club he was actually as thin as Murphy and he has built himself up well. Not sure what his best position is but he needs to work on his tackles and his left side disposals

Young Giansiracusa should not be missing those goals from inside 50.He has missed a hell of alot of shots this year and it allowed them to stay in the game a bit longer. If we had of put them away earlier then we would have a had a massive percentage booster on our hands.

yer bobby is going to be absolutly fantatic and he finally kicked a goal this season! :)

yer isdog, he was just so rapped to be playing footy, he couldn't believe he gets a senior game! hes too bloody modest! :D

CARN THE DOGGIES!

actually the stats before this game ahd Alvey as our major point kicker percentage wise, on 3 goals 9. Admitedly as a winger you would think most of these would be on the run from 50+, but even so, he passes so beautifully..youd think he would hurt the opposition more.

I was aware of Alvey however alot of his appear to be from the boundary or around the 50.Gia has missed some sitters.Anyone else noticed Alveys tendency to kick around corners when kicking for goal?

Very happy with todays performance, by most if not all players. My votes would go to these senior players, Darcy, Smith, West, Johnson, Bandy, Kretiuk, Brown and then Gian, from the youngsters. This is not to say the young guns didn't play well today. I've been pushing for this to happen all year, more young guns in the team, less of Barlett, Libba, Dimma, I'm sorry if I offend (public forum, can express my opinion).

Isn't it great to win a game keeping in mind that Grant didn't have any impact on the game at all. This was a good thing for a number of reasons; 1. people will back off bagging him for his inaccuracy at goal 2. the media will focus on our win as opposed to how inaccurate or how close we've come this year to winning most our games 3. that the team can produce a win with or without Grant at his best (this is so pleasing to know), can you imagine when he starts firing again ? I can't wait.

My tip on the most underrated player of our team - Crofty - I love the bloke, he plays a good defensive game week in week out and hardly gets a mention. Let him be the quiet achiever. :)

Speaking about Barnes' comments - I've always thought he was a brianless d***head. Not sure how he has a role in the media. Every week on that show he says at least a couple of things that pretty stupid.

Murphy's poise is poetic. Different player to Cameron, he is quicker. They compared him to Robbie Flower yesterday.

Speaking of Cameron that is a trade that is slowly swinging our way.We got two youngsters who still have alot more improvement left in them and hopefully 10 years while Cameron is starting to become a little stale again.Richmond are still marginally in front but I am starting to feel better about the trade.

MURF !!!!!!!!!! That's my BOY :D

He is just so smooth ... Just oozes class!

Has anyone else been disappointed with Sammy Powers form for the Bees? He had massive wraps on him. Maybe he just needs some time!

Sammy will be right TD he just needs to be given a chance to get his confidence up.

Murphy will be a gun ??????? He already is one !!!!!!!

All class, doesn't panic, great disposal, once he adds more bulk to his frame he will be a superstar !!

The best recruit at the club since Browny.

Birss will be the next best recruit. Don't forget Hahn either, once he shakes off his injury the club should show faith in him and rotate him as an inside midfielder.

These guys are our future premiership players.

Bring it on !!!!!!!!!
