Yeah, I'm not trying to denegrate Harvey.
He was (possibly still is) a superstar and I loved watching him play.
But he's not faultlessly brillaint like some claim. Neither's Buckley for that matter.
With Harvey, my big query (and this may be something that's been lodged in my memory because of performances over the past couple of seasons) remains his kicking particularly for goal. It's at times horrible. That's a big detering factor for me. Brilliant footballers who get in position to convert should do so more often than not. I'm not sure Harvey has.

His kicking is fine.. well his feild kicking any way..

look at the stats he make's very few clangers less than Bucks infact.

Oh well, sorry about that Howie. I nearly said close to 30 per game. 27. something will do anyway. He still has totalled more possessions and more Brownlow votes than anyone else ever to play AFL football.

As I said, best ever IMHFO. :)

Which one of them won two Brownlows, played 300 games, averaged 30 possessions per game over their whole career, and never played a bad game.

You are entitled to your opinion. I wll stick with mine :)

And which two both captained their sides to two flags each?

Anyway, that wasn't what I was referring to. How can Harvey be the best all round player you've ever seen if he's only capable of playing on the ball (and very bloody well mind you). How does that compare to blokes like Hird and Carey who have performed effectively as key forwards, key defenders and on the ball through their careers?

Harvey is one of the best midfielders the game has seen and probably will see, but how you can call him the greatest all round player you've ever seen baffles me.

What do you expect? You don't see Harvey attempting 60 metre passes and the like, do you? I remember Carlton fans posting about Ratten's amazing clanger statistics (lack of them) and it didn't surprise me one bit, because he, like Harvey rarely kicks over 30-40 metres and fires out a lot of handballs.

I was responding to this:

I was never trying to say he was a better kick than Buckley mearly trying to make the point that he is actualy not that bad.

Low act, poor form haha give me a break, you gotta get out more.
The subject was loyalty to a club, he showed little loyalty to Brisbane and I couldn't care less if it was a 100 years ago.
Harves has shown loyalty to one club.

Stop talking about something you know ******** all about. You are just a little ********ing moron who is talking absolute crap. You have no idea about the Brisbane/Buckley/Collingwood situation so just get over it and realise it means nothing. It shows Buckleys loyalty to Collingwood, not a lack of loyalty.

********ing hell, people know nothing about what happened

Buckley was always going to Collingwood, he always wanted to play for Collingwood. The Kangaroos wanted him and had a higher pick than Collingwood so they got Brisbane to pick him with their zone selection and wrote in a clause that Bucks would be traded to Collingwood at the end of 1993. If Bucks was disloyal he could have turned around and said he wanted to stay at Brisbane and dishonoured his agreement with Collingwood.

Brisbane never drafted Buckley to play for them for his career, they drafted him for 1 season and thats what they got.
