Rolling All Australian Team 2020

Only over 2 games but Dylan Shiel is averaging 6 centre clearances a game. You do that over an entire season and you’re head and shoulders the best mid in the comp.

Not saying he’s any chance of averaging those numbers for the year but as this is a rolling AA side I’d have him in.

I'm not sure you are head and shoulders the best mid in the comp when there's literally another player averaging the same amount (Cripps).

I get your point though, but even 6 a game isn't double the next best for instance. (4).

Not suggesting that he has been the best mid in the comp this year. The league leader in 2020 only averaged 3.3 so 12 across two games is massive. To put it into perspective Cripps lead the league last year in CCs and only got more than 5 twice.

It's strange, as there's quite a few over that level now and we have shortened game time to boot.

there’s some pretty funky shit going on there..

omeara rated that high from only playing 2 games? Boak for instance should be way higher and I’m sure there is others.

Average rating from their games, that's why the Melbourne/Essendon players are there.

Which is a fair metric.

I don't think it's too bad in all honesty.

CD has it as follows:

Ruckman are being over weighted with the shortened games within their ranking system though.

Looks like a pretty fair list for the most part.

Only thing I'd consider changing would be having genuine wingers on the wings, apart from that looks like a sweet team.

Obviously Rowell is an inside midfielder and I would've thought Perryman was a Forward? Could be wrong on that one.

Isaac Smith's had a good start to the year for us, and Sidebottom also is another winger that's been red-hot to start the year.

Yeah Perryman should definately be in a FP.

He has named Polec on the interchange and is a genuine winger.

Look at Number 6, playing on 2 games!

Cannot believe the quality of his hitouts for a player I never heard of until we traded him in.

Those are averages rankings.

Games are irrelevant.

I'll have a go from what ive seen. Just a tad early

Haynes...Weitering...Sicily
Weller.....Andrews...Howe
Boak........Fyfe.....Rowell
Walters...Casboult...Wingard
Cameron..Heeney...Perryman

Goldstein...Adams...Neale

Grundy Simpkin JPK Cripps

Horrible looking fwd line. You know the KPF's are crap when u pick Casboult at CHF and Heeney at FF.
Merrett/Viney/Shiel/Petracca all potentials on form but missing a third of a season doesnt help.

Trent McKenzie is locked into the backline as of right now (trust me I would be as shocked as anyone if I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes)

Marshall is the AA chf. If they’re not in your teams you haven’t been paying attention.

boak is obviously in.

Dbj should be in or on the very fringe of everyone’s selection.
Marshall. Lol. He’s not making the squad as a forward.

Copping a tag most weeks whereas Rowell getting zero attention v Adelaide and west coast (who have been acting like a bottom 2 side). Watch how he goes when someone defends on him.

So I’ll have a go at this after criticising others:

Docherty Weitering Haynes
Tarrant Andrews Lloyd
Gaff Neale Sidebottom
Goldstein Cripps Rowell
Walters Perryman Cameron
Wingard Westhoff Papley

Neale Adams Pendlebury Boak

close with another few good games:
Casboult Martin McKenzie Crisp Petracca Shiel Grundy Parker Fyfe.

Apologies to essendon and Melbourne players that deserve more credit off missing 33% of the season so far
