I hoped we were going to pick a mature VFL defender. If Rance goes down then we now only have McGuane. It costs us only 40k to have a back up player sitting there for depth.

McCarthy looked to fill a hole in our midfield, wonder who they have in mind to play there now? Shame we didn't take wheeler, it would be good to reward one of the Coburg boys.

Really surprised we overlooked Willie , especially after we missed out on McCarthy , appeared the type of player we need , midfielder forward . Based on other selections , size wasn't the issue ?

I asked a Coburg fan and he thought there was a big gap between his best and his worst and felt that his best probably wasn't enough to cut it AFL. I guess the club got a long look at him and felt he came up short.

Does anyone know if we are going to have a bit of a train off for that last spot on the rookie list similar to last year or is that it
