"Far out, come on" ... take your tricolored glasses off and go have a flick through the game thread and Good Bad Ugly thread on your board. Never did a more blind, parochial, reality-inventing bunch of sooks exist on the face of this earth, than the Crows board.

We have seen the impacts these concussions have. Rankine showed boxers arms tonight (a sign of genuine brain insult). Former players have suicided - and yes, it’s correlated.

Doesn’t hurt to maintain some grace / respect about it.

All fair points really. I just hate concussions, and the glee taken in this incident by port fans (Check this thread and disagree with me if you want) I find really disheartening. And sure, a whole bunch of crows fans are equally if not bigger f***wits, and would have done the same thing had butters been laid out. I would’ve said the same thing and expect some of you would’ve jumped on and cracked into them too.

Yeah it’s not exactly balanced over on our board but out of the hundreds of games I have been to I can’t recall the crowd ever heckling a stretchered player. And you lot continue it on here …

I guess the port Adelaide passion is just stronger or you lack other sources of joy in your lives.

I hated the concussion and hope rankine is ok. And obviously I can’t speak on behalf of all port fans and you can’t speak on behalf of all crows fans. But don’t act like crows fans can sit on any sort of moral high horse.

As a man of colour myself, I find it disheartening to see the majority of crows fan defend, idolise and love a known racist.

Not in the stand I was sitting in or any stand near me. No one heckled. We just clapped him off as we've always done for injured players being stretchered off.

I’ll take your word for it but I heard jeering and saw mocking wave offs. I get it’s a small minority that any fan base has.

It’s more the yay we knocked his F’ing teeth out, Houston should get a medal stuff on here that I find a little pathetic after a win. It did take out our best player and somewhat shift the odds.

Enjoy being the better team and leave that stuff behind. JHF is a damn gun, as an old crows man reminds me of roo, absolute beast forward mid.

Ken may well take you to the promised land. I’m glad I’ll be in London at the time.
 
The overlooked factor here is that the collision happened as Rankine collected the ball from another Crows player doing an uncontested double fist. The epitome of trash football and it's ended the season for 2 players.

If that player just takes an easy chest mark the Crows probably go onto win the game.

But agree, this is the only argument that can be made. No high contact at all, all damage done by the ground.

Saw some posts in your pregame thread about wanting someone to drive butters into the turf and making him leave on a stretcher. Plenty of likes and replies agreeing

Every team has idiot supporters.
