Burgo told him 2nd year back from the acl and you'll be flying, no one will be able to catch him
Sounds like it was entirely precautionary given his retina issues of the past. Had vision problems so they pulled him, but he's been cleared of any issues.

VB is out of the Neil Craig ‘experience is everything’ mindset. He’s still hoping Douglas and Thommo will come back
The scary part is that Neil was able to ingrain that mindset into the whole club that we still cant get rid of
Because we never got a clean break. We’ve had his disciples ever since either in leadership positions or as coaches.
That's why I don't like the idea of Slowne going straight into a coaching role at the club, go and get some different experiences

Mate, he's as dumb as a brick. Experiencing another club won't make him a better coach. There'd be Auskick kids running around that would have to help him out with the sliced orange budget.

I joined the FB Adelaide Crows supporters group a few weeks ago after having been here for many years. Twice now i've made negative comments about Sloane and have been howled down for them. Gees, they're a sensitive mob aren't they? They all love the fact that he signed on again and seem to be fully unaware of how it will hinder the club next year. I think I'll delete the account.

Yes I’ve seen it too. It’s amazing how many people will argue the point. My favourite is “stats don’t matter he’s there for leadership”.
We must cut out the cancer. It’s why I was immediately against VB returning. I knew what his philosophy would be.

Rory should try performance enhancing drugs and source them from outside the club

I could somewhat handle it if he was even the least bit honest about it. Like if he said "I know I'm lucky to be given another year with how many talented young players we have around here and I know that it's in the best interests of the club's future that they be given a shot over me and my role is to be here to help support them and get them to be the best AFL players they can be".
Instead we get "oh, my forms fine, the club needs to manage my minutes so I'm at my best so I can keep playing AFL for a few more years".

He was leading all comers for tackles when he went off. He would say that this is evidence of his high pressure, and that he is needed to provide extra physicality at stoppages that our young brigade can't as yet.
I say it's because he's too slow to get to the ball first.

Yeah. It was quite clear on TV that he was too slow to get to the ball when he should have, preferring to let the oppo get the ball and then tackle them.

And the player he is currently keeping out of the side was an elite tackler in 2022, is about 12 years younger and has massive upside.
Compare that to a man who at the most should have no more than 1 game left, let alone 15+
