Well, when you view it from that perspective, he knows how to take a team three times all the way to a grand final.

At Carlton, a win for the Club will be just being regularly competitive. Lyon can easily do that and probably get them 4-6 wins a year for a few yeas.

You can definitely make an argument that Ross' football is bad to watch. You can't make a logically sound argument that Ross can't coach or is not capable of winning a grand final. Unless of course you can prove that luck doesn't exist.

He's been to the bottom with us now and seemingly back on the way up though, so you can't really knock him for that anymore unless we completely plateau.

We are not that ugly anyway. We were woeful to watch for the last 3 years but most of that is because we sucked in general. Up and about we have and now do again, play some decent footy.

Ross Lyon is probably the most arrogant and blindly confident man in football though. Which says a lot when you have guys like Wayne Carey and Gary Lyon who have the ability to sit there on TV and not wince. Lyon will back himself and he knows if he does, he's got this weird cult of personality and enough cunning to stay in jobs. He's kind of good at it but he's far from humble.

Would be awesome though, would be absolutely awesome if he left.
