I don't expect Oliver to hit any great heights for a month or 2
Dont you play down Clayton's greatness, im expecting 36 possessions and 5 goals first game back. Clayton doesnt need fans like you who sit on the fence and think he needs a month or more to get right, real fans will back him to dominate this week, hes the greatest Dee in history for a reason, boy hes going to embarrass you vs Sydney.

Howes best trainer was interesting to hear and makes sense why they are giving him a go. Always a fan of rewarding players who put in a big preseason.

May as well reward his effort at training because Howes was never getting a game off his VFL form.
Odd selection imo. Hardly knocking the door down. More of a wingman. But if it's to free up Salem, Bowey, Riv and can hold his own, then I'm for it.

In the first half, with only 30% game time.

You're a true fan, unlike some others round here.
Clayton has a greater case of white line fever than any player ever.

He goes 100%, 100% of the time either side of the white line.

Love that ginger!

will be interesting to see Salems time in the middle with Clarry back.
Reckon it stays quite high and Trac spends more time forward with Koz/McAdam out. Salem will benefit hugely from Oliver's inside work.

Yeah agree with this. Viney also spent some time at half forward against the Blues and landed some crunching tackles.

Will be interesting to see if they're committed to Viney playing a bit forward or whether they were just throwing magnets around to give others a go - from memory some of the younger blokes played on ball whilst this was happening

I like it. I'm happy to give Salem first crack in the midfield based off his game against Carlton but would hope Goody drops him pretty quickly if he doesn't perform. Shouldn't be a walk-up start anymore.

referencing that many posters here believe that we're better without Oliver which is funny considering the coaches believe that a 20% fit Oliver is still clear best 22.
I presume you won't be questioning a single coaching or team selection decision this season then.
