Personally, I'd put the new kid Bentleigh in on the ball.

He's got potential but is a bit pre-mature in his thinking. Sometimes he can be lazy aswell (hes on and off the boil) and slow at times but I'm sure we can fit him in.

I like your positive thinking but wouldnt it be a good idea to see hoe the kids go this year before having them in the starting squad for next year.
Also just heard on the news Jack will debut this week dont know who will make way for him maybe Pettifer might be getting the chop cant think of anyone else.

Good news if true.

Hopfully they drop a hack (Tivendale/Pettifer etc.) to get him in the team, not a kid.

i mean, if we hand this into the afl now, we wont be able to make any changes out of the 25, which could be a problem.
perhaps leave it in pencil for the time being

very good news. hope its true strong hands.
also its good to see some people still remember the superstars of the RFC from the 90's.
pooyeah

Yeah, your a genius Bentleigh. Put a kid who is yet to debut at CHF, let him fill the shoes of Richardson. Play Richo off the bench, Reiwoldt is clearly a better option.

Im sorry Bents, but are you trying to pick a side that will win?

A few quiet games and you want Pettifer gone, one ok game and all of a sudden you think Hughes should be a walk up start each week. I just dont take your opinions seriously when your riding the wave of emotion like this my friend.

What I'd like to see:
Newman Thursfield McGuane
Bowden Polak Polo
JON Cogs Richo
Hyde Hughes Tambling
Riewoldt Schultz Brown
Simmonds Deledio Foley
Bench: Conors, Edwards, Meyer, Kreuzer (maybe not so unrealistic considering our position)

Definately not part of the future:
Johnson, Tivendale, Gasper
Trade if you can get anything for otherwise delist:
Krak, Ray Hall, Pat Bowden
Players up for trade for decent picks otherwise keep:
Pettifer, Tuck.
I'd give Pettifer away for a decent pick (I consider this a 2nd round or thereabouts) because he is not part of the midfield rotation and long gone are the days when you can only have pure flankers. Tuck is an interesting one, I feel he still has a role to play and probably struggles from the loss of Cogs due to getting a better tag. I know the coaching staff don't rate him as particularly important and the way he plays isn't the way in which we're moving though I'm willing to keep him if I didn't get a high pick.

Players I'd give til the end of this year to see what I'd do: Howat, More, Jackson, Hartigan, White, Pat Bowden.

I like your enthusiasm but your a fair way off the mark with some of those calls.

Richo plays out of the forward line for one game all of a sudden you want him lining up on the wing for the rest of his career like its his best position.

Tivendale has been our most important play maker this season yet he "isnt part of our future".

Johnson is a good player and a good leader. Holds the oppositions best player very well. Should he be captain? I dont believe so. Should he be getting a game? Definatly.

Fair call on Pettifer. Maybe the fact that he isnt a midfielders a**e hole will be his downfall. If he is going to be a permanent flanker he needs to be alot more damaging.

I rekon we should just plonk richo in the square for the rest of his career, play like an alister lynch at the end of his career. dont let him outta the 50. will prolong his career injury wise and his kicking from outside the ark is atrocious, gets too close to the man on the mark.

I think what Terry is struggling with is getting the forwards to work well together. All talented, able players but cant crack the combination.

Freeing up the 50 from Richo is a great tactic, when used in moderation, as it has been done since Terry arrived (if anyone noticed before Saturday). It shouldnt be a permanent thing. Come on forwards get your sh*t together!

The thing about Richo is essentially despite a great talent he is a 'dumb' footballer. This is one of the reasons why I want him out of the forward 50, being a dumb footballer it doesn't matter how he's coached he'll always be attracted towards the ball destroying much needed forward line structure which we have lacked for a long period of time.

Whilst I agree with you that Tivendale would be in our best 5 players this year he is not part of our future in regards to the fact that he will never become elite and is a very one dimensional footballer. In my opinion when I stated he was not part of the future I believe that one of Raines, Newman, Polo or an Edwards should be taking his role in the team as I feel the hardness at the ball and their ability to hurt the opposition team far outweighs what Tivendale can offer.

The progress of the draft pick has been very slow compared to other teams and this is a worry. Wallace has been too forgiving and need to be harder to get the best out of them.
