Heard a couple of things RE todays game.

Dewar is definitely not the sub. Hewett appears likely.

Also Jake Waterman was still 50/50 as of this morning. Really hoping he gets up, as I can’t hack Bailey being one of our talls up there.

Called it last night when Bailey was seemingly held out of the WAFL preseason game. He simply isn’t a forward.

At least if Jake misses it should be Archer that gets the full time KPF role, while Bailey does the ruck/fwd bits.

Would be good to see Archer play as a forward

Is Hutch actually gonna get mid minutes or does he just swap with Duggan when the ball bounces?

Hope so because if he can play anything like he did round 24 vs Geelong he's wasted on a wing.

Excited to see a full game from Dewar - turn him into a brad hill / NAS type hopefully

I’ve been beaten down so much in the last three years I’m finding it hard to stump up some positivity !
Best side we’ve had out for a long time. New everything but I’m worried something is broken inside of me.
A win would help with the healing!!

Excited for today. Have watched every game this weekend which is a rareity for me.
Im optomistic (my default setting) and really think we will take it to GC today and get a solid win. Waterman out would dampen my spirits a bit but even if he does miss we can still win.
I hope we take a leaf out of Hawks book and play an extra in defence (wing off the back of the square) so that when we lose the centre clearance (need to concede their midfield is better) we win the next disposal and drive our attack in a wave of running from the backline
I love that our new look forward line has in form dynamic smalls that will pressure and tackle and lock it in. This seems to be the formula for winning these days and I think we have the cattle to do it.
So despite our midfield weakness, I think our backline and foward line can win the game for us if we execute our plans.

Hewitt spent some time floating forward in the tigers pre season game. Is this a new role he looks to play?

Not overly new. Once he gets his legs and match fitness back, he’ll still be a HFF/mid combo rather than 24/7 mid.

That's a F50 stoppage.

At the end of 2023 he was attending 60%+ centre bounces. Agree we don't have room for him to play those kind of numbers.

He'll be rotating with Harley fwd/mid IMO

I hope there aren't too many spare seats at the footy today. If the members can't come today, I hope they have passed their tickets onto their family and friends. A full stadium would be great for the players.

I'd be sending Graham straight to Rowell and saying good luck thicc boi.

Kelly won't do shit, Reid is still a pup compared to Rowell and too offensive to be accountable, which just leaves Duggan (bleh) or Hutchinson (hmmm).

Only way you can hurt the Red Bull is to get speed on the game and keep it outside of the contest. He's lost when the balls constantly kicked over/around him.

Q stick still runs around for TA's every so often - can still hit one through from 50 on a good day

Just bought the stadium cheeseburger for $6 before kick off.
It was half cold and the beef patty was as hard as leather.
There was a piece of bone in there too.
Last time I'll buy stadium food.
Hopefully it really will be this time lol.

Sausage roll and 8 beers is all you need for an Optus meal
Think I'm gonna go looking for the butter chicken chippies.
