Im not so sure. McDonald wasnt looking at the player when he hit, and the Sydney player ducked a little which made contact with the shoulder. No raised arm, no looking at the player, no KO.

Reprimand at worst

Its early on but geez I'm impressed with how some of these GWS players have played. Townsend's attack on the ball has been absolutely brilliant, Coniglio and Shiel have a great appetite for the contest. Hoskin-Elliot looks very clean and impressive and Mohr has more than held his own in the contest, although his kicking and awareness seems to need some work but that is to be expected. Bugg has looked pretty solid too and Giles has also performed well as expected.

Hampton looks very skillful and has surprised me with his work rate so far and Palmer, Ward & Phil Davis have really stood up as leaders so far. McDonald and Cornes have been good despite their age too.

I have Bugg, Coniglio, Giles & D.Smith starting with Kennedy (emg), Shiel & Townsend on the bench and so far been impressed by all of them. Great to see GWS compete well in their first game!

Happy with Reid as a unique. Looking like he could step up this year.

Yeah Reid is a genuine gun. What stopped me from picking him was that traditionally key forwards don't score that well and the fact that Sydney don't really have a true full forward. Thus, even though Reid is more of a CHF by necessity I believe he will play closer to goal.

Good on you for picking him though, hope it turns out well cause he could become one of the very best key position forwards in the league in the future. He's athletic, works hard and as the commentators always say a brilliant set of hands. FWIW I think he will average at least 70 this year.
