Don’t mind it but personally have Dow ahead of Sonsie for the Prestia role just based on him being picked in both practice games and having an uninterrupted pre season where they may want Sonsie to build a little more of a fitness base

Also Clarke ahead of Cumbo just as reward for pre season form but wouldn’t get upset either way

Cumbo looked out of his depth in the praccy games, is he having second year blues or something?

I would be ok with your 2 suggestions also but i just feel as though cumberland has the ability to rip carlton a new hole and kick 4-5 goals on their 6th defender. Clarke is a beauty though and i can see Clarke & Seth becoming the nest Butler/Castagna in 2 years time

Yeah he didn’t set the world on fire, I kind of see him as the type of player who rises to the bigger occasions so if he was picked round one he would be fine

Seems like we did a fair bit of experimenting over our pre season games so it might be just him adapting to the new game plans and having a few new Mids as well

Not gonna watch or listen to it live. Serious, my 'bum' ticker wont stand the usually corrupt reaming maggot umpires are going to give us ...again. A replay of our win will have to do. Go Tiges!

Like it but I'd play only 1 of Miller or Ryan, with Clarke to play as the sub who can inject some run and spread late in the game if needed.

why afent we looking at biggy these days?

It is not widely known how Carlton got its name. Years ago, a young immigrant arrived in Melbourne. Being German, he was partial to Italian food, wine and coffee, so daily he would catch a tram to Lygon St where he'd sit and enjoy the cafe lifestyle.

He soon became a fixture and was known simply as Karl. As his fame grew, as did his appetite, that morphed into Karl Ton. Literally.

Karl would go onto be responsible for the club nickname. In the early days they were known as The Butchers, due to the ball use from their fast-running halfbacks. Thus, a real butcher's apprentice was the club mascot. One day, Karl got overly excited and sat on the poor lad, squashing him until he was completely discoloured. They have been known as The Blues ever since.

Karl may be long gone, but his descendants live on. They may be seen wearing numbers like 32, which is not in reverence to JaxonBinns or his ilk, but simply a reference to their own weight in stones.

This caught up with the club late last century when the stands of their home ground were found to have insufficient structural integrity to carry such a load and Princes Park had to be abandoned.

They have not abandoned the club, though. When it is said that HarryMcKay gets a ton of free kicks, it is merely alluding to what happens to any umpire who won't pay them. The umpire ends up looking like the butcher's apprentice...

How on earth did you reach the conclusion that Prestia, Tarrant, Graham, Pickett and Sonsie will be out for round 1?
Stop being dramatic.

I guarantee you that Prestia plays.
If he does play, we should run a pool on what quarter he gets injured

Would've thought Tarrant would be worthy of a face pic by now, considering Young's mug is already up. Who knows how many more injuries we will have in the next 9 days (seem to be losing 2-3 each week atm). We were painfully slow and neither Riewoldt or Cotchin have remotely impressed me thus far. To win flags gotta reward form instead of names. Clarke, Sonsie, Ralphsmith, Ryan get the nod over more experienced players. Miller gives good coverage as the Blues have 3 tall KPF's. Would love to see Prestia out there but with his body best give him the rest. Prestia seems to be the lovechild of Mr Glass and Captain Lance Murdoch.
