Surely Essendon are just taking the Mickey at this point
Essendon just do what they like at this point - lol (looking at you away team wearing a black ANZAC kit 2021).

Just a general personal point as well, whilst I appreciate the artwork and the meaning behind it, I will never find myself purchasing or wearing these sort of kits.

No reason in particular, but I would feel like it would be "off" to a degree for a non-Indigineous person to wear it. Similar to the Anzac kits, i appreciate the meaning behind them, but I feel you couldn't really wear them with respect outside of being at an Anzac match.

I agree, I'd rather see ANZAC and indigenous jumpers auctioned off for charity.

My memory is hazy but pretty sure we wore away kits for our home game last year. Perhaps something was worked out between the two clubs?
Yeah you're right, they did wear red and white shorts despite it being a "home" game in Perth. Off memory we did a similar thing the week before when the Lions played in a Fitzroy-inspired kit designed by Chris Johnson with white shorts at home vs the Giants (who wore a white kit with charcoal shorts).

I bought an indigenous Crows guernsey and wear it to training often. We have some indigenous players at our club and I see it as expressing solidarity with them. It has sparked some good positive conversations about culture, history etc.

Just got an email from the tigers with the dreamtime guernsey. I am a fan. Although being the home team and having a traditional 'black sash' automatically wins me over easily. Love how its kept the straight lines of the sash edges. After seeing the bombers 'away' strip it does annoy me how much these will clash. Both being predominantly black. Hope the bombers one year go all out for an away strip and switch the colours around with a red base.
