I'm up 121 points with Roughead and Vlaustin vs Birchall, Terlich, Martin and Selwood. Going to be close but I dont think im in the box seat. Question marks over Birchall or Terlich earlier in the week, hope one is a late out.

Didn't enjoy that Ablett game one bit. Having the C on SJ when opponent has Ablett was painful.

Moloney and bad captain choice, everything else has been great this week.

I think people are overrating how much of a difference your captain pick makes. Picking SJ instead of Ablett was only a 45 point difference. 45 points isn't incredibly hard to make up.

45 a big difference in rankings though. And you can make it up, but you could simply be 45 points up.

What's the chance of Terlich not playing? I've heard that he may be in doubt, I've also seen reports that Neeld say's he's good to go pretty much, And will be assessed through the week, and the Melbourne forums say he's a very big possibility to be rested....

He's on both mine and my opponent's teams, My opponent has no bench cover for defenders this round "Unlucky" And I do.... Would pretty much seal me the victory if he doesn't play... What are the chances ?

So picking steve J over Ablett loses you 92 points, Not 46. I just caught up almost 100 points on who I am playing because of the way our captains have scored.

Captain choices make or break a teams win in tight leagues all the time. Maybe not when your playing someone who's terrible though.

Sorry I'm ignorant here, I still don't understand how 280 - 188 = 46 in any mathematics. That's 90 odd points. End of the day he scored 280 compared to 188 so where do you get 46 from?

I didn't.

The way you are thinking means that you are just completely cutting SJ from your score. If you captain Gaz and get double (280) you still have SJ single score of 94. If you capt SJ (188), you still get Garys 140 single. 280 + 94 = 374. 188 + 140 = 328. 374-328 = 46.

The other way of subtracting Captain Gazza's score of 280 from SJ's double 188 and getting 92 extra, means that SJ wouldn't be included in your actual score as you have essentially erased his 94.
