Hi,
Im playing Dream Team for first time this year, still not 100% on rules around emergencies.
I've got Cloke out unexpectedly this week, and my only Emergency likely to play is Vardy, a Ruckman. But one of my starting Ruckmen is Roughead.
Is the auto emergency going to look only at my Forward emergencies, and I'll get a 0, or will it push Roughead forward and put Vardy in?
I'm guessing the first is more likely.

Your emergency (in your case, Vardy) will only come into play if the corresponding position (i.e. if Roughead or your other starting ruckman) is out. therefore unfortunately you'd cop a zero this week in your forward line

Picked up Matera as a free agent in Elite this week (as a trade for Byrnes), about my only highlight for the night!

Oh shit, as I say that, Matera is going off with a bad looking ankle injury. Haha, of bloody course!

Classic self-jinx if I ever saw one :D

Thought so. Thats the gamble with a terrible bench I guess. Thanks for the confirmation.

I am looking likely to lose 4 of 5 leagues this week. Captain choice aside, it's my so-called premiums (+ Moloney injury) that are killing me - Murph, Scotland (**** me, did he suddenly get old in the off season or what), Jelwood, Hartlett (used to this now). I would love to have just one week where all these guys get 90+. Surely that isn't asking too much.

On the lighter side, Blicavs did well, but can I trust him to carry the ruck for another week? Kreuzer is looking tasty.

You know it's quicker to just take one player's score off the other?
140 - 94 = 46

That's generally the way people would do it but when trying to explain how it all works to those that don't understand you need to post the whole equation like Jessbek and Trav did.

Another very average week for me.

Brought in SJ and Gibbs this week and was actually fielding a fairly strong team but my so called premiums are playing like crap.

Hanley: 35
Scotland: 50
Murphy: 70
Watson: 85
SJ (C): 94
Pendlebury: 95

Despite having all 6 of my premium midfielders play for 2 100's (Swan,Ablett) is really disappointing. Although I must say I'm happy with Dangerfields 98 on Crowley as I expected much less.

1584 with Franklin, Lecras, Cox, Kennedy and Vlaustin to come. Should just scrape over the 2000 mark.

Why would you go 140 - 94 though if he's my opponents captain? And with double points how come then it doesn't show 280 and 180 = 90 point lead? I'm still adding Steve js sound score?

Ok so lets say you have both SJ and Ablett in your team and so does your opposition. They have Ablett as captain and you have SJ.

You have:

SJ 94 x 2 = 188
Ablett = 140

your total points: 328

Your opponent has:

Ablett 140 x 2 = 280
SJ = 94

your opponents total = 374

374-328 = a 46 point differential.

If your opponent doesn't have SJ as well then it is different and you need to add other players in but if you both own those 2 then it's the 46 points lost.

Even if you had Stevie J as captain and your opponent had Ablett, he has only gained 46 points on you. It'd be a different story if either you or your opponent didn't have either one of those players at all. Think of it as an opportunity cost. Yes, it is a 90 point lead when you look at it like that, but you haven't factored in the base score of the other player. Say it's a 90 point lead with that calculation you did, you still have to count Ablett's base score for your team, and he still has to count Stevie J's base score for his team. You catch up half of that 90 points here.

Take note I used your numbers there, but Stevie J ended up with 188. Regardless it is the same process.

1503/14+C...fairly happy with this but bit annoyed about changing the C from Ablett to Stevie J, as most other people seem to have done. Also have Laird on the bench with a solid 101, so I'm hoping for a late withdrawal from Terlich right about now.

Unfortunately 'line breaking', 'x-factor' and 'excitement machine' don't start with P... :D
Prime extractor could work? ;) Plodding? Paralysingly plain?
I do actually like Pridda, I'm not Kernel Sanders or Eagle87...

well, in lieu of giving you my score:

Stevens 23
Moloney 24
Gray 34

Cloke was a good score for me. Meanwhile Hrovat 55 on the bench, Zorko to forwards (that was the initial plan but got sidetracked by choosing SJ over GAJ as captain). Good weekend allround :thumbsu:
