Wilkie Williams out

Hinge (don't really want) Sloane in

Swing a bunch of players around

Balta Hore Lockhart Stack remain on the field.... sigh

I’d probably avoid Sloane. I currently have him, but dreading the upcoming games against the Eagles (Hutching) and GWS (De Boer). Both have shown to be severely restrict fantasy scoring.

Bugger , I didn’t even look at the fixture I just selected him as I like him as a player.

What is everyone doing with Williams?? Has anyone heard much else about the injury?

Injury report on AFL.com said he could face some time on the sidelines, buyt GWS twitter said it was just precautions with hamstring tightness. Currently he's still in my side but we'll see if he's named on Thursday.

Trade Whitfield they said.

Worst case you will get him cheaper after he plays a few matches with a 177 breakeven.
Yeh, that's pretty brutal, he's actually more expensive after having a 177 BE!

So glad I held him!

I traded Cogs though, didn't think he's going well enough to be worth holding. My biggest mistake there was getting T Kelly rather than Merrett.

Season is ******, somehow I've ended up with three rookies in the mids and could be four next week.

Ross down to Garner and Brayshaw to Whiftield is the current trades...

About as good as I can muster

As horrible as Brayshaw is I'm still keeping him. He has the ability somewhere at some point. 'Upgrading' a crap premo to a premo at top dollar is rarely a good move.

Upgrade a rookie instead.

I'm letting Whitfield go. Can't afford to pay $800k for him now. I'll try again post-byes. Will live in hope that he gets shutdown by oppositions now.

Original plan:
Drew -> best mid rookie sub 200k;
Whoever failed of duursma/stack/hore -> Laird or Blakely.

New plan after all the mid rookie crop tanked, Laird and Blakely didn't fire. Duursma/Stack/Hore all get another week to split them.

Thinking Wilkie -> Garner (assuming he holds his spot). Handy replacement of an R12 cow;
Walsh -> Perryman via Duursma swap to mids.

I really wanted Perryman from the start but left him out for Williams. Appears the opportune time to jump on now as a player who'll play till his R14 bye at a reasonable average ~(70?).

Gives me $387k in the kitty for next week with Cripps/Laird/Blakely all on the radar.

Even if Bewley/Hind are named this week I think I'll continue giving rooks that first week to see if 1) they can get a decent score in the bank, and 2) they're named a 2nd week. Having new rookies dropped after 1 game can really sap your teams momentum coming into byes. It's a blackhole of sideways trading.

Can someone please change the price of Boak, Grundy or Whits to around the $550K to $600 mark so I can trade this week please? Might have to break the in case of emergency glass this week with Hore, Rozee, etc. Dont really want to so will se what else I can do first in the FWD or DEF lines that might be a bit smarter. That said, I am now Round 12 bye really heavy so probably have to break Rozee soon. Held Drew too. Also means Boak is pretty much untouchable for me until after Byes.

Harry Perryman, thoughts?

I liked his chances at the start of the year as he was earmarked to spend more time in the engineroom with Shiels departing. He's a bigger body and compliments Kelly/Coniglio/Taranto.

He was looking good up until his punctured lung incident which opened the door for other guys to pick up the slack (Taranto/Hopper/Hately etc. Not sure if that means he missed his chance or he'll slot back into the midfield as planned?

I still think his scoring potential is there but last weeks result is certainly not what you should expect from him if you grab him. Most of the GWS scores could be scaled back by ~20-30% against any other regular opponent.

Not sure how the Williams injury effects Perryman's role (if at all) and whether he gets pushed back to that defensive role again. If that happens he's only a 50-70 player at best.

If he stays in the midfield he's a 65-85 player (average).

In conclusion:

Job security: 9/10.
Scoring ceiling 7/10.
Scoring average: 7/10 - I think 65-85 is likely.

Awkward price at $380k but I still get $200k out of downgrading Walsh to him (and maintain BYE structure). Whitfield being too expensive for me I think I'm looking at getting Perryman as my cheaper alternative.

But I do think if you want him it has to be this week. Only 4 games till his BYE and that may become a forced exit on him in order to get 18-20 players playing in your squad.

He's a good shot at making ~ $100 in those 4 games. But waiting till next week and the equation becomes less appealing.
