Trades Round 10 trades

After trading Taranto to Libba early in the season, I just know I will get shafted again if I trade Brayspud. All he needs is to get back into the inside mid role and he'll be fine. Just need Nathan Jones to get out of there, surely he will soon. It just makes no sense changing Bray's role. I reckon he is still battling that corkie and they're trying to protect him a bit, why else would he be stationed so far away from the contest every single time.

My season is a tale of 2 corkies. One to Brayspud and one to Whitfield. It's hilarious how we can plan so much in preseason and watch it all fall apart by a corkie.

Thinking at this stage..

Brayshaw > Taranto

Parker > FWD rookie
or
Hately > MID rookie
or
Answerth > DEF rookie

Gonna have to wait for injury results/teams this week. Clouds over Zilliams, Crouch and Danger for me.

Otherwise trades will be Drew > Garner via DPP and Gibbons > Whitfield via DPP

Is this the week to downgrade ROB? Obviously Fort would be the likely trade in target but with Jacobs likely back by the Crows bye, Fort's BE much, much better than ROB's this week, surely it's time to cash in?

I liked his chances at the start of the year as he was earmarked to spend more time in the engineroom with Shiels departing. He's a bigger body and compliments Kelly/Coniglio/Taranto.

He was looking good up until his punctured lung incident which opened the door for other guys to pick up the slack (Taranto/Hopper/Hately etc. Not sure if that means he missed his chance or he'll slot back into the midfield as planned?

I still think his scoring potential is there but last weeks result is certainly not what you should expect from him if you grab him. Most of the GWS scores could be scaled back by ~20-30% against any other regular opponent.

Not sure how the Williams injury effects Perryman's role (if at all) and whether he gets pushed back to that defensive role again. If that happens he's only a 50-70 player at best.

If he stays in the midfield he's a 65-85 player (average).

In conclusion:

Job security: 9/10.
Scoring ceiling 7/10.
Scoring average: 7/10 - I think 65-85 is likely.

Awkward price at $380k but I still get $200k out of downgrading Walsh to him (and maintain BYE structure). Whitfield being too expensive for me I think I'm looking at getting Perryman as my cheaper alternative.

But I do think if you want him it has to be this week. Only 4 games till his BYE and that may become a forced exit on him in order to get 18-20 players playing in your squad.

He's a good shot at making ~ $100 in those 4 games. But waiting till next week and the equation becomes less appealing.
Thanks for this, 9/10 job security was a lot more than I was expecting!

I am half expecting ROB to go okay this week against Hickey and Vardy.

But It's not the worst trade you could do, if everything else is okay, why not.

Any word on Sauce??? Plus do you personally think he is a walk up start after this much time out???

Sauce walks back in when fit imo. He is still a couple of weeks away I reckon. He might come back via the SANFL or he may not, but even if he comes back through the SANFL he should be back in the week after. It's up in the air whether ROB survives to round 12 and 13 so people can play him on field.

I'm locking in my first trade as I need to keep up cash gen and rotate out fattened rooks:

Petru -> 170k/R Young

Second trade:

If Danger is out - Danger -> Yeo (via Telly FWD)
If Danger in and Williams is out - Williams -> Yeo (via Whitpig DEF)
If Danger and Williams are in - Bray -> Yeo and I dance around happily like a primary school kid on the last day of school

Hopefully there's no massive carnage next week and I can focus on my Scrim/Drew trade to Merrett.

Well perhaps 9/10 is a bit ambitious of me as GWS have a strong list thats almost fully fit.

But he's rated highly internally. He's a 3rd year player and matches their needs (big bodied mid to support their stars). He's out of contract end of 2020 so I think his time is now.

They still have guys like Daniels/Taylor to get pushed out for Corr/Coniglio when they become available (possibly both this week). So there is room for Perryman in a full strength squad (albeit just... and probably only made possible due to Wards LTI).

Williams out for any period of time further increases his JS.

Just realised most rookie downgrades (trade ins) for me have to be non rouund 12 ones to help me balance out the round 12 bye issue, sitting on 16 onfield in round 12 with the two ruckmen out. Gonna have to trade Wilkie, Rozee, Drew, and Hayes by Round 12. Bewley is a round 12 bye even if he does come in. If he does come in Im grabbing him but gonna have to watch the trades for byes very closely now. Got Young last week too, so pretty much has to be two round 12 bye rooks out for me this week. Was planning on using Rozee to turn ROB in to Grundy but may have to rethink that now with ROB playing pretty well still and helping through the byes. Now I get what everyone means by planning.

this weeks trades will be based around injury's ...again!
i need some luck (both for trades not being forced and premo's not spudding up - Tkelly looking at you)

If i had no forced trades id be going:

drew/setters -> Garner / McCluggage (or another mid under 660K)

Also need some new blood into the side. whole stack of new rookies i know nothing about.
Position aside how would you Rank these rookies:

joel garner, rob young, joel atley, D.moore, Larkey, stocker

Well if Williams is out I can go -

Drew -> Young
Williams -> Whitfield

Would be pretty damn happy with that. Would like to ideally move on Petrecculle and Collins this week for Garner and Young, but we'll see.
