Agreed. Why I've come to terms with the fact I'm not going to pay up for anyone (except maybe Sidey) and chase the value premiums first.
Then worry about swapping out for the rockstars when and if I can still generate cash on my bench. Blokes like Dusty, Shuey, Simpkin, Cripps, Bailey are going to be the only way I can complete my team and avoid the late year rookie swapping guys who have made no $$$

Annoying that I thought I'd be down to 2 rooks next week and after one Houston performance I have myself hating about 5 of my so called "premos".
Smith x2, Simpkin, Wingard, Houston... a combined L3 average of 61.6.....
I know the general rule is hold your premos but gee wizz... they've been basically rookies for near on a month.

Exactly. Might produce a similar output for the rest of the year and could be the difference between fielding Rankine for an extra week or 2 while you're trying to get to Dusty or Simpkin or missing those guys while they have bottomed out and having to pay up for them again.

Surely the cats realise Steven is beyond cooked and play Close...Simpson has been running around like a headless chook last couple of weeks so we will likely get the chop

Yeh I would think Simpson will get chopped. Close slots better into Dahlhaus' role like for like.

Constable already ruled out with concussion. Think Simpson misses only if Steven plays which sounds 50/50 at this stage.
I would be happy with that. At least Close can take Simpson's spot at M8 but it'd be nice to know if Hibbered was coming back in for the dons too.

Simpson and Close could both be gone based off those in's....
Glad I didn't burn all my trades yesterday, at least we'll know by tonight.
Need to make our upgrade targets the guys playing at the end of the round

I've got cover for both being dropped anyway so I think I'll stick with my ideal trades and dump Simpson next week.

Why would Close be dropped? If people watched the game (and not looking at just fantasy scores), he was pretty good with ball in hand and in close situations while Simpson has been pretty ineffective last few weeks. Could be completely wrong when teams are announced.

Last in first out approach. New player. Probably still building a tank. Short turnaround will go against him. Most of his disposals in the forward half so Atkins could replace him in that role.
Happened with Starcevich too. Was and still is playing good footy with a clear role in the side but sometimes it's hard to take the fantasy goggles off when you're not watching a game live
Constable was playing good footy last year too (not just in fantasy terms) but got dropped and didn't come back. Geelong have done it before and they seem to have some depth in that department so there's always a chance. Let's hope he holds

Ive never had Shuey in Fantasy. Doesn’t hunt the easy marks around the ground. And he’s typically a 90-100 ppg player. Definitely not an uber premo.
Having said that he’s probably 150k undervalue so if you want a keeper that wont break the bank hes a decent pick.
