Who are you other forwards? If you have Tippett as well as Gamble and Valenti then upgrading Gamble to a gun would be my move.

If you have Gamble as your 8th forward and are happy with your first 7 forwards (including Chapman) then it is a harder decision.

yea ive got Pav,Franklin,Fev,Brown,Rioli,Chapman,Porpz, gamble, valenti really not sure if i shud trade

Tough choice this week.

OPTION 1
Downgrade Hill to Jarryd Morton, upgrade Tippet to Johnson, leaving me with two very risky emergencies (Edwards, Morton).

OPTION 2
Upgrade Symes to Johncock/Mcmahon/Burgoyne/Birchall, then in 2 weeks downgrade Ebert and upgrade Hill to a 370k forward, leaving Tippet as emergency.

Leaning towards two, thoughts????

Look at the side you are playing. It may be that your side is strong enough to carry a 0 this week and you can hold off trading.

I have worn a zero for 3 weeks and still have been scoring a 1930 average.

been thinking about upgrading Masten but reckoned it was too early, since both Masten and Valenti is dropped i upgraded masten to Kornes :D

Agree. Top 7 forwards are pretty solid provided you are happy starting Fev and Rioli for the majority of the year. Also, hopefully (although far from a guarantee) Gamble will come back and be a handy reserve.

If you are desperate to win this week (eg still in eliminator or have a big league game) then one option could be to trade Gamble to say BJ and then later in the season if a suitable/cheap forward option appears that you can use as your 8th forward you could trade either Fev or Rioli (or an injured/suspended gun) down to that cheaper option.

Also depends on the rest of your team and whether you have bigger needs elsewhere. With $394k in the bank and that pretty solid forward line I would suspect that there may be more important areas needing attention?

In a perfect world I'd be bringing in Lenny Hayes this week, but that'll have to wait for now. Will be copping a zero this week unless I downgrade Hill and upgrade Gamble.

Current forward line reads as -

Pavlich
Chapman
J Brown
S Johnson
O'Keefe
Porplyzia
Gamble

Tippett
Hill

Considering writing off my 9th forward and bringing in Valenti anyway. Would allow me to bring in BJ, but if I picked up someone like Morton or McEvoy I'd still be able to bring in Riewoldt.

So it really becomes Riewoldt + Morton/McEvoy v BJ + Valenti. Currently leaning toward the Riewoldt option.

Thoughts?

No probs, now I'll ask your advice (and anyone else who would like to comment). Am considering trading Bird to Cotchin. Profit from that trade and using what I have in the bank would enable me to trade Gamble to any forward up to $317400.

Already have JB, BJ, Pav, Buddy, Riewoldt, Chapman (hopefully he will play for my team one day!) with Tippett/C.Stokes on the bench.

There isn't a lot that looks that great in the forwards below $317,400. Perhaps Dale Thomas? Any suggestions?

Im holding off my rookie trades now for a few weeks now

Was going to do

Out:Gamble, Rioli
In: Chapman, Valenti

But i figured
Chapmans price will stay the same when hes not playing
Chapmans not playing
Rioli still has more money to gain
Gambles price will stay the same
Have got all forwards playing, so dont need gamble
Valenti not playing
Lack of rookie forwards

Then i thought of doing
Out:Tippet, Wonaemirri
In: Rookie, Drummond

But i figured
At least tippet is playing
Wonna still has a bit more price to rise
There are no forward rookies
Drummonds price shouldnt sky rocket to much
Tippets price shouldnt fall to much

Then i thought of other upgrades
Palmer- Hasnt peaked yet, and not the core of my problems
Cloke- To low price to think about upgrade, should rise in weeks
Tredrea- Same as Cloke
Waters- Just getting a game this week, so wont judge yet

So i thought, maybe i shouldnt trade this week

But then i realised Symes is on my bench, anmd had 16,000 so now i am doing

Symes- P.Burgoyne

Is this a good choice ?

Who would you upgrade out of B Jones and Mattner?

Brett Jones is more accountable but has shown he is capable of freeing himself up and getting rebounds proving he is an OK DTer. Bit inconsistent though.

Mattner gets the lesser jobs but isn't really a DTer (unless he gets 10+ tackles and even then he doesn't hit 100 ). He is more consistent though but Malceski/Kennelly may steal points off him.

I got both but I'm forced to keep one. Leaning towards keeping B.Jones and upgrading Mattner next week (he has a low B/E this week).

Yeah same, leaning towards Jones.

For me, I'm not to conerned about Mattners BE because he won't go up a lot and at this point it's more about points than a few thousand here or there. The fact Kennelly is back has probably sealed the deal.

On a seperate note, is Proud on your bench?

is it silly for me to,
  • trade proud at all
  • trade him to wilkes instead of houlihan
probably will need the extra cash to trade myers(starting) to chornes rather than anyone else and as these two (to my knowledge) will both definately play the rest of the season, tell me wrong, i will have a solid backline emergency which is vital.

thoughts needed possibly much to your dismay.

Are you Mighty Eagles from Div 10? I am Wenger's XXII, you can take a look at my team there.

I've got Neagle and SDT on my bench. I've got Gilbee as well, he is rubbish and set to drop in value so will upgrade him this week otherwise it would've been Mattner.

I'd be looking at wether wilkes or houlihan are playing first. with waters and kerr coming back in they may make way, and hunter shouldnt be far away as well as hurn. Proud wont make you much money but if thats the only option you've got you might have to. I'd look to someone else to trade in though.

Yeah that's me.

I've got no playing backs so that's why I'm lookign to get Houlihan, although he prob won't be there to long. Hmmm.
