Round 10 Trades

This week I'm tossing up the following scenarios:
1. Trade out NJ Brown and Gamble for Valenti and J.Brown.

Will give me a forward line of: Pavlich, Franklin, Deledio, NG Brown J.Brown S.Johnson & Akermanis with Rioli and Valenti on the bench.

or

2. Trade out Gamble to Valenti and then upgrade Bartram to Ablett.
Will give me a midfield of: Ablett Corey Swan K.Johnson Judd Palmer with Cotchin and Browne

Can't decide which one will be of greater benefit. Any help appreciated.

Easiest choice ever for me.

2nd option.

Why put Rioli on the bench! :p
And Ablett is better then J Brown.
so yeh, just my 2 cents.

I'm going to trade tippett for roo this week which will give me the forward line of
Roo
Pavlich
Jonathan Brown
Porplyzia
Chappy
Johnson
Rioli
Which is a pretty strong forward line however I find it hard to say the same things about the rest of my team.
May I ask what the rest of your team looks like?

Do your forwards beat mine?
Chapman, Pavlich, Riewoldt, BJ, J. Brown, Burton, S. Johnson

I chose to keep Burton over Porplyzia was it the right choice?

Burton is a little hit and miss. Burton has the potential to score very high which he shuld vs the weaker clubs (essendon, Melbourne etc). Porplyzia shuld be more consistent but dosent have the potential to score heaps. Birdman is also injury prone

jus guna ask a question aswell need some advice...

i need to upgrade either gram, griffen, palmer cuz he is on my field and i obviously need to downgrade one of my rookies an they are -

Pfeiffer , Bird , palmer , Kreuzer , Tippett , Dew

I think you need to downgrade Bird to someone like Cotchin who is about to rise in $. Then I'm not sure who to upgrade but I would keep Palmer on my team because I think he is a star.

I'm wanting to get Bartel or Corey into the side, I can't split them..?!!

Yeah but when I heard Porpz will have limited midfield time, I thought his scores will drop whereas Burton should avg 85-90. He has been ultra consistent until last round. Just hope he doesnt get injured.

i have $414,300 to spend on a new big gun midfielder. Taken in break evens and round 22 fixtures who do you think i should get. I'm leaning to Swan or Corey. ANy suggestions

$406k to spend on a forward but no idea who to get. Plenty of options...

BJ
Gia
Murphy
Riewoldt
N Brown
O'Keefe

Already have Didak, Porpz, Pav, JB, Chappy, Deledio and don't think I need to trade a rookie to get cash for Franklin/Richo.

Thoughts?

Same with me GS. Its doing my head in. I know there is only a tiny difference between them but its such a hard decision. I was leaning towards Corey because he has less chance of being rested whereas Mark Thompson may want to rest Bartel before the finals like last year.

You really can't go wrong with either. Both very consistent, both have had runs on the board over the past few years (averaged over 100) and can score very highly consistently. Corey doesn't get tagged so he will hardly ever get a low score, Swan can get tagged but has a knack of breaking them pretty easily. Now the only reason i will say Corey is that Swan has to play Sydney an extra time than Corey has to play them. Both will average 100+ and again, you can't go wrong either way. If you are taking into account break evens and if you are getting one this week and the other one in a few weeks, take Swan first. Simply, he has a lower B/E and you would save a good 40k or so.

Great point their mate and one that definately should be taken into account. Now this might be a very slight chance that he does get rested but he did miss the last two games of last year because Thompson was doing that exact thing, resting him so he was 100% for the finals. They are in the same situation as last year, pretty much cemented a top 4 spot are there is a chance. There is also word around that Bartel is carrying a slight injury, not really a shock if it was true because he has really not been himself of late. If true, there is a break in 4 weeks were he should get back to 100% but his scores would be hampered until then. Corey would be the safer bet, would also save and extra 10k. If both 100% fit and played every game this year Bartel, because of the above issues, it's to much of a risk for 5 extra points a week IMO.

Thanks Cruiser. Love your replies, always top quality. I think Corey is the way to go. Ive also heard the rumours of Bartel carrying a niggle (which I mentioned somewhere in this forum) which was another factor which swayed me towards Corey.

9 trades with 226,200 in the bank

Round 10:
Jack-> Cotchin
Kosi-> Cox

Round 11/12:
Gram-> Chornes

Rioli-> Roo
or
Palmer-> Corey/Bartel

Leaves me with 4-5 trades left for injuries with half a season to go.

Am excited with all these huge ins :thumbsu:

Thanks alot mate. I think there is also word, think Cat for Life can shed more light on this, that he has broken up with his girlfriend and the has been playing on his mind. Either way he is struggling at the moment and is not his usual self. When he will be, not sure, one of the reason why IMO Corey is a better and safer option.
