I could also do Wonna > Cotchin but I'd liek to keep Wonna for the time being as an EMG incase I need him (other mid EMG is Browne). Might use Wona in anupgrade later.

Might also look to upgrade one of either Jones or Ibbo in a couple of weeks.

Why not Mattner?

They are averaging pretty much exactly the same.

Bones showed on the weekend he can run off and get some cheap stats.

Besides that 30 last week he hasn't been to bad.

Same with Mattner.

Or maybe look to upgrade both via the Wona trade as I have 9 trades left.

Would be nice if there was an 80K mid available..

I have Gilbee/Bones/Mattner as well. I am going to keep one, I don't think it is worth upgrading all three (10-15 points a week each).

Definitely upgrading Gilbee this week. Not sure on who my other upgrade will be. Bones has shown he can score big, but he is sometimes too accountable and score under 50. Mattner is more consistent but it is worrying that he can only score high by laying 10+ tackles. Tough one.

You're in Div 10, right? I think you have enough trades and cash to upgrade all three ...

Just use your cash on Welsh, downgrade Tippett to Valenti and upgrade Welsh to any gun forward (Richo may be too expensive).

Next week, Wona/Mattner to Houlihan and Kruezer to Cox/White.

You'll have at least $50K, if you want, you can use it to upgrade Mattner/Wona. Other than Tippett-Valenti, the trades don't have to be in that order, just do it what ever way suits best. That's your team set with six trades to spare. Hope that helps.

Who are your other reserve players btw? Valenti and Houlihan may be risky.

I need to get Jetta out of there asap. Am thinking Jetta-->Riewoldt this week even though he will go down in price a bit more. He might kill it against the dees especially after the saints have copped so much during the week.

If Chapman plays then Gamble -> Valenti and Porplyzia -> Pavlich. If Chapman doesn't play I wait a week, Porplyzia and Gamble make some money, I trade Gamble for a non-playing rookie and do it next week. If Chappy doesn't play I want a good emergency, and I don't trust Tippett. I spent a lot of time thinking about whether to do this trade this week or next week, but I decided with an overall win pretty much out of my reach with me at about 3100 right now and 1 vs 2 (me) in my league this week, the 20-30 points extra Pavlich will get against the inanimate object with a number 28 on his back in Port's backline, especially if I make him captain with all of the other guns in my side this week having bad records against the team they're playing, plus having Valenti over a non-playing rookie, is worth the 10k or so I would save from waiting another week, especially when I still have Wona as a cash cow who could probably make me about 250k when he peaks.

Just a warning for those downgrading to Houlihan this week. I'm not sure how many games he'll get and I'd keep an eye on him as the Eagles have Kerr, Waters coming back very soon and Hurn, Hunter as well later, not to mention Nicoski knocking on the door as well. Although he had a great debut there is a lot of uncertainty in who's playing in our backline at the moment, so for now I'd steer clear of him.

While gram probably has the ability to score bigger than mattner I think that mattner will be the more consistent of the two for the season and will end up with a higher average. He showed that he can score well with the crows but lacked consistancy. I think he fits in with the sydney side much better and his consistency will improve as the season goes on. I think gram will give a couple of big score but the rest will be rubbish
--> give gram the boot

I made two trade this week.

I traded out the injured Brad Symes and brought in Chad Cornes even though his break even is 132 this week. I have Waite in my team and his suspension meant that i would have to leave one player not playing so i picked Cornes to cover that gap.

Also i traded out Kurt Tippett for Shane Valenti (72,500). I think Tippett has done his job for me and i made about 130 K on that trade. Kurts break even this week is 72 and therefore i didn't think he would make it.

Thoughts ?
