Maybe take the time to read the AFLW injury update thread Jen2310 so diligently updates every week. Maybe have a look at how many games our 3 trades from last year (Hyde, Lee, Howarth) have played this year.

Hyde reminded me of a mix between Caracalla and Brad Plain.

Maybe it was the long sleeves.
But she evades by hardly moving. Has no speed, but somehow finds time.

Glad she got a run. Nice glimpse of what she could bring.

Dave, that is harsh. We have been hit by injuries this year and a harsh suspension.

New coach, some new players, short season and strange fixture.

We have lost so many players in the past few years, most playing very well at other clubs.

Disappointing? Of course, but no matter where the Pies are we got to stick thick.

After the first few games, I didn't expect much but hoping to see something out of the new players.

We will regroup, some good early picks and bring on 2025.

Now thats all said and done --

While it wasn't the year we would have wanted or hoped it would be, maybe it was the year we had to have to acquire some top end talent at the draft. It's clear we need more skilled players (as much as our girls do get 100%) and implementing a new game plan. You could see it had been starting to come together in patches just not over 4 quarters.

We clearly are behind the good teams, but we had a lot of games were there wasn't much in it.
Round 1 loss by 15
Round 4 in the condensed fixture loss by 17
Round 7 loss by 8
Round 9 loss by 4

Yeah there was some blowouts, But you could see the game plan coming together in patches as we went further in the season.
Not having everyone on the park at the same time
Brit missed a dozen games
Bri barely played
We started our season with injuries and not players fit
Our recruits were injured to start.
Or leading goal kicker last year was out for the season before it began

They can't fault their effort.

I felt Tarni White, once she came back from her injury and then her suspension, she had a fairly good season.
Lucy Cronin was a revelation
The other draftees showed good signs too.


We'll be better. Another pre-season with more talent, as the girls keep working on the game plan

Pretty sure it’s a fan, I went to a couple games this year and was unfortunately sat near where it was coming from at one game. I reckon I have a couple videos where you can see the person doing it in the background of the video, I’ll see what I can find.
