He's talking about Yeo noobs.

Bloke is absolutely on fire at the minute 31 tackles in the past 2 games.

116, 132, 115, 136 and 115 in his past 5 games for an average of 122.

Either that or it's Mitch Duncan, who has even better numbers
Nope not Elliott Yeo... although he came under consideration

Think i will do

Setters to Stocker
Rowbottom to Baker(mel)

Not exciting but need bodies on the pitch for byes

17/18/21 at the moment

Only leaves 10 trades

4 for byes (r12+r13) and leave 6 for injuries/upgrades if possible

75k in the bank
With only 10 trades I wouldnt be bringing in Stocker after a price rise and Baker who has terrible JS

Wasted trades imo

Andrew Birch, Jiska, any other Demons kents... thoughts on Baker? Liked his game on the weekend, but the fact that it was already well over by the time he got involved likely goes against him.

He was good with the ball, but kept going to ground, and got pretty decisively beaten in a few one-on-ones which resulted in goals. Agree others need to go first though. Hipwood and Rayner for starters.

I'm wanting to know whether he has JS myself. Had a look through the VFL site to see who could possibly replace Baker and the only one really is Jay Kennedy-Harris who was best 22 and playing midfield before injury. He's only been back playing for 1 week but was in the bests for Casey on the weekend. Neal-Bullen missed with concussion and is generally best 22 either half forward or mid tagger. Hannan due back can play wing/half forward. They would be his main competition for a spot. There are another 6-8 best 22 players injured at the moment, but none due back in the next 2-3 weeks. My main concern with Baker is that he will make way for an established player in Rd14 just when we need him on-field to cover for Rd14 bye mid premo's.

Not a lot of other mid downgrade options though...

Duncan's numbers are actually insane.

Fyfe and Neale were the last 2 players I wanted to complete my mids, when i finally turf Brouch, but I'd trust Duncan more than Fyfes impending injury.

Had Duncan since the start. Been really good value this year as has TK been.

Was going to wait until after Walsh's bye to pull the trigger to JKelly however is it worth waiting if I can afford it now by going:
Clark > Minge
Walsh > Kelly

I want Kelly to drop a bit before then but I can't see that happening :$ Also if I do the trade it makes my d6 a bit weaker until Williams comes back

INB4 "too many GWS". My argument would be "Not enough GWS"

You don't even hesitate with an upgrade like that. He's priced at his max but so is Walsh. Do it, do it now!

After Neale just stitched everyone up who traded him in with an 80...

Lloyd screwed me with 2 shit scores once i got him at his peak..

Helmet Daniel dropped off a cliff with his 2 spud scores the minute he joined my team...

I'm surprised so many people are still happy to buy premo's when their value is at it's highest

Screw that. I'm totally off paying top dollar for premos who reward me with a spud score. Identify the cheaper options and jump on board at the right time.

Lloyd, Whitfield, Fyfe were prime examples.

Jelly was 3 weeks ago IMO. Gone up 50k+ in the last 2 week's.

It's a short sighted way of looking at it, General. With so few trades left you need maximum $$ return on all downgrade trades. Those 2 trades achieve bugger all return, either $$$ wise to fund a single upgrade or better JS than the players you're trading out. Ask yourself, is losing a 20-40 points during a bye round because a bench rookie is not playing worth having to play rookies on-field later in the season when you're out of trades and have an incomplete team and can't even sideways trade an injured premo?

Dusty is well priced and could go on a scoring spree sooner or later. Has been in good form the last 2 weeks, some big scores are imminent IMO. Ends the year with 7 straight games at the G.

.

I'm having to try that approach cos my rooks (and cash-gen) have been so poo. Worked well getting Sloane at $520k-odd and Kelly well under $500k. Trying to find value premos at around $500k cos I just cannot afford the blokes at $600k+.

Guys who might be value are Lloyd now, Sicily/Laird/Daniel in coming weeks (around byes). Neale should be a good buy after his bye, if you don't have him already (maybe I'm the only dickhead without him). And of course Danger and Heeney are priced pretty damn fantastically if you don't have them.

I don't have him. He peaked early and I missed my opportunity, then decided to hold Walsh until his bye and upgrade Walsh to Neale in round 14. Hopefully I can do it for under $200k

I got him last week and the 92 didn't deliver, but 35 touches suggests he's got 140s in him soon enough. I wish I could afford better, but this is where I'm at!

Was just looking at him. Coniglio is another to watch.

As far as cheaper premos go this week there's Boak who's the highest averaging FWD and priced very cheap according to his price per point.

And Cameron has probably bottomed out too. Good value.

These are the sorts of picks I'm looking at now. Until all my rookies GTF off my field I'm not paying top dollar for maxed out premos.

Agreed. I'm getting Cameron in this week. He scored a career high 168 SC vs GC in Rd12 last year. I'll be disappointed with anything less than 130 from him this week.

Cogs and MCrouch in round 15 as a cheap final mid upgrade looks good, I reckon I'll grab one of them (most likely MCrouch)

They should give Cogs round 13 off and give him a little 3 week holiday, he's been battered this year, could do with a good rest
