What’s there not to love? Other than the fact Thurlow is a spud and will promptly burn us all immediately after his bye of course.

I'm also keen to get rid of Houston, but what's the deal with Thurlow? Has he got any upside beyond his bye score, or are we just gonna be back here on Wed night desperately trying to get him back out of our sides?

Minimal upside I guess, happy enough to roll him once after his bye and hope for a 60.

All about the breakeven game - i.e. finding excuses for all the spuds in my team!

Any more news on Ridley?

I didn't watch the game and there doesn't seem to be much reported, I was able to find one article saying he coped a knock on the ribs from taranto late and didn't play out the match. Need to know if he's out or not before tomorrow's lock out. If he's not injured that's so much better but no doubt he will be.

After "back to back" 80's he should have an achievable break even on the return game so could gain another $20-30k when he plays.
If scared of spud score, bench him after bye and gain cash for someone like Stewart as he heads into his bye (if he can bump up his average)

I've no cover for Gawn. Going to contact Dees & Roos and get them to agree before hand that Gawn & Goldstein both rest, Jackson & Xerri in.
Then I'll have cover.

I can just see me being stuck with Thurlow due to other issues so don’t think I’ll bother, although should be good for a 50k cash rise the next fortnight

I’ll go Witherden. BE 38 so will probably make the same amount of coin, generate hopefully the same sort of scoring and hopefully be an D5 or D6 season keeper

I really hope this is true. Makes it super difficult when everyone I am trading will be locked out tonight but that means I can trade:

Houston > Thurlow (will be Haynes next week barring 2 injuries)
Simpson > Wicks
Ash > Lloyd

Other option is
Ash > Haynes
Houston > Witherden
Simpson > Wicks

I have a 280K McInerney doing exactly the same thing....

Yes. Wicks > McHenry. Horse won't drop after bye, would destroy kids confidence, if it isn't already. Still a free price rise and shot at a second.

Thurlow > McPherson. Lock in the 80, cash gen, stepping stone.

Taranto > Sam Walsh. A free 87, should be fresh for round 2 of the logjam, and looks to be hitting peak form.

I don't know, but I'm hoping if he was a late withdrawal from the side - he should be ok to go in a few more days...

It'll be nearly a week since he missed the game...

For my 3rd trade looking at Simpson > Duncan/Zorko/Dusty. Pretty much completed my fwds/Defs but thinking to play the BE game given how little $$$ we have.

• Duncan - Safe option for Mid but more $$$
• Zorko- cheaper (Extra $$$ is huge) but scared that he’s playing forward this week.
• Dusty - Same as Zorko, Extra $$$ is huge. This will give me 7 Fwds, but gives me a top 6 fwd and let’s me upgrade BSmith/Wingard to a mid later on.
