A game clear on top of the ladder coming off a flag – comfortable thanks.

The most disorganised we have been all season .

This is the issue though, weve become too reliant on an organized setup. I'm not bagging our structure because it is solid (we won a flag and are 10-1) but we have to be careful it doesnt become a crutch.

Losing May in game hurts our structure but it shouldn't affect how our players go about it in general. We just dropped our bundle.

This is a timely wake up call to the players and coaches that we probably went in autopilot a bit. It's a taxing gameplan physically and mentally over a season so now we need to refresh and go back to basics.

This was their grand final

This game, Geelong, round one vs Adelaide, there'll be a few games to go that will be our grand final then you add them all together and you get a number higher than the only other time we've had good success in a season. Funny enough that year was the last time i had a big footy account and this here is my first post since rejoining. The way round one played out and this new look freo has got me really liking football again. Good game guys thanks for being very subpar tonight, see you September

nah nothing to hate about Melbourne you guys play a entertaining brand off football that holds up in finals, over the course of this season i think youll find youll be less cooked than us by finals but not as hungry

We kept Freo to one goal and then both of our key defenders got injured on top of having a bunch of other players out and Petracca being sick. We got completely outplayed and deserved to get rolled but I wouldn’t read too much into either team’s ‘passion to succeed’.
