Gold Coast challenged Geelong at home earlier on in the season, so I'll be disappointed if we're not at least competitive for a half.

As good as any chance the Dees have had to beat the Cats in years.

Selwood has been underwhelming.
Steve Johnson is ageing.
James Kelly has split testicles.

My coaching thoughts. After first clearance, 18 players mad rush to the defensive 50 and STAY THERE. That way, Geelong can only score by attempting massive bombs at goal from 60+ back. An interesting test for both teams, and might prevent a 40 or more flogging.

Strange that nobody from the club has scoped me out yet as Roos replacement

OR flood our fwd 50, send garlett and Howe into our back half on their own. Geelong will think they're kicking to our scoring end and deliver us easy goals.

Mind games.

Gold Coast aren't scarred though, are they?

Everytime people say the words 'Simmonds Stadium' or 'Kardinia Park' they need to give a trigger warning for Melbourne fans/players.

We should absolutely own the ruck today. I'm looking forward to seeing Gawn and Spencer in tandem. I think and hope that Gawn will play mainly at FF with Spence rucking. If he clunks his marks then he will be a handful for the Cats defence.

Forward line missing Hogan, Kent, JKH, Pedo. Other than Jeffy it's hard to see who might be a multiple goal kicker. Howe and Gawn hopefully, maybe Watts...

It's for last week, they do it for players that made their debut the week prior.

Milestone: Played 1st game
Luxford played round 10 but yeah you're pretty much on the money mate. Just seems like an odd milestone to put up.
