Re: Round 11: Sydney Swans vs Port Adelaide Power

I still don't think Playfair deserves to be an ommission... but I'd say he is a forced one if Bradshaw comes back in. White and Rohan were good today and I can't see us play Rohan, White, Goodes, Bradshaw and Playfair in the same forward line. Maybe Goodes can play through the midfield? McGlynn is a much needed inclusion.

OUT: Playfair, Shaw (if inj.)/Mattner, Bevan
IN: Bradshaw, McGlynn, Kennelly

Mattner offers little to our team in my opinion...

Re: Round 11: Sydney Swans vs Port Adelaide Power

Braddles, McGlynn and Kennelly back in contention this week I think?

OUT: Playfair, Shaw (inj.), Bevan
IN: Bradshaw, McGlynn, Kennelly

Please, I thought Bevan played well, Playfair was average.

I reckon Jetta should give way to one of the others before Bevan, Jetta has been ordinary last two or so weeks, not looking as involved down the wings, I think that Roos is just waiting for Jets first goal in AFL before potentially dropping him...

My two cents. Give me an hour or two and I'll come up with some decent comments

Agreed... don't think we have two of them! ;)

Re: Round 11: Sydney Swans vs Port Adelaide Power

If McGlynn or moore are deemed ready then Jetta will make way. He was par of the forward group today and that's where McGlynn or Moore will play

Re: Round 11: Sydney Swans vs Port Adelaide Power

Every week, Jetta is listed on Big Footy as an exclusion but it never happens! Can't see it happening, he has the mid-season break just around the corner...

Re: Round 11: Sydney Swans vs Port Adelaide Power

As much as some of us would love to see it happen, I can't see Mattner being dropped. Clearly the coaches must love him as he has continued to hold his spot despite being one of our weakest links.

OUT: Jetta, Playfair, Bevan, Shaw
IN: McGlynn, Bradshaw, Veszpremi, Kennelly

Re: Round 11: Sydney Swans vs Port Adelaide Power

i'm assuming they'll wait till after the mid season break to bring kennelly & bradshaw back into the team...i'd love to see mcglynn back in as well...but at this point in time...an extra week off = 2 weeks... so i'd rather we take the cautious approch with injury management and see if we can get a steady run going in the 2nd half of the year...hopefully we'll still be able to account for port without all of our stars playing

Re: Round 12: Sydney Swans vs Port Adelaide Power

We always seem to play well against Port for at least the first quarter which puts the game beyond doubt early, hopefully the trend continues. :thumbsu:

Hopefully... Then all them bloody Port fans will leave early thus less of a chance of being beaten up whilst leaving the ground :p

I would think Tadhg and Bradshaw might get a rest against Port as well and then will have the bye week to be fully fit against the Pies at Homebush.

I'd deeply consider doing the same with McGlynn as well, depending on how he pulled up after today (did he actually play this time?).

Give them another week, plus the bye week, to get fully right and come back to **** up the Pies.

Re: Round 12: Sydney Swans vs Port Adelaide Power

Out: Shaw(inj)
In: Mcglynn

we're not going to make massive changes to our first winning side in over a month. Jetta probly should be safe and Playfair safe until Bradshaw comes back.

Injections apparently AG.

Port adelaide. should be a win, we'll have to see which port turns up.

Port were pretty good and underrated while Tredrea was in the side. He is nowhere near as effecitve as he used to be but they just have no real big forwards to replace him with. He is vital to their team. When he went down injured i told myself Port will drop off badly and it has happened so we really need to win this game.

FFS, Can not see us getting within 30 points.

I really like Sydney, in fact whenever we're over at the SCG I always make it over but goddamn we're your bitches. Only wins I recall were when Poults kicked after the siren (that was back in 02 i think??) and when we caught you having a premiership hangover in 05. Apart from that it's slim pickings.

Anyway, good luck. :thumbsu:

PS. Could 10k of yours get over so the crowd isn't totally abysmal. Kthnxbye.
