Carlton going like an absolute busted and only paying $2.90ā€¦ which of you degenerates has gone and ruined the price before I got on?

Anyone else get excited on gameday leading up the to the game, only for that excitement to to disappear within 5-10 minutes when you see our slow as shit ball movement? Think I enjoy pre-game more than actually watching up play, ah well.

Our clearance work is diabolical, until we fix that, we'll keep losing to better sides. Carlton isn't a better side though, so should scrape through with a win.

Dees by 16.

Are there any positives we can take from this game? The narrative in the media will be negative and from most of us regardless.
  • Win big - Played well against a team with injuries and who have been rubbish for two months. Typical flat track bully stuff.
  • Just win - Can't even put away a team with injuries and who have been rubbish for two months. We should bully this team.
  • Lose - Can't even beat a team with injuries and who have been rubbish for two months.
I guess the one positive we can always take away if we win is that we beat Carlton. Perhaps a few players who are down can find a bit of form.

I've had this discussion before and I can't be that grumpy over a win, I just can't do it. It blows my mind when we have a win and some of you will treat it as a loss, but hey you guys do you.

Plus its ****ing Carlton, love beating this mob. It's season on the line for them, they win tonight and they're only 2 points out of the 8 by the end of the round (if all the faves win) - It's an important must win game for both clubs.

Should Melbourne win the positives could be...
The continued development of players like McVee.
I think Sparrow did really well last week so continued improvement.
The defensive 50 stoppages.
Score from turnovers (I think Melbourne are highest).
The forward line, how it works with Smith in the mix.
If Pickett gets into the midfield.
The gawn/grundy experiement.
I expect Hunter to be very hungry.

Lots of things to look for in the win.

My partner sent me a message about the traffic on the way home. She wrote it as ' accident on the deeway' bad omen?

The earthquake earlier this week was us summoning an actual demon, weā€™ll be fine. Last time we had an earthquake that big in vic it was three days before a certain Saturday in September 2021.

Man how good was Jetta on the wing? Remember watching that and having absolutely no doubt heā€™d win that contest.
Yep could have easily lost the game without those efforts.

i just want to see a half of football that shows some passion, ruthlessness - basically any sign any of the players actually give a **** and are actually going to try and do some work to win the game, instead of first gear, hollywood bollocks just assuming a win will come.

After deep analysis and running some data through the algorithm, I've decided that Jack Viney will be best on ground tonight.

Cheers!

Lever or (can't believe I'm saying this) Gus for mine. With Tommo in and Carlton's ball movement I reckon one of those two will take a bunch of intercepts and setup scoring chains for us.

Tomo on Curnow scares me, tell me Goody was taking the piss.
Maybe Tomlinson is playing forward, and Curnow will be his defensive match-up. :innocent:
