Both that umpiring call was garbage AND we played like rubbish for 3qtrs. Both of these things can be true at the same time.
The other thing that hurt was the stoppage when Duggo and Hutch had a head clash. Up to then Duggo was having a crazy good last qtr.

What about non-calls? They can be just as bad

Easy fix - give each team 1 challenge per match. They use it and get it wrong, they lose ability to challenge again (therefore stopping teams using it until 4th quarter). They get it right, they retain it to use again.

I couldn't give a shit about the result. End game for us is we obviously still need some serious talent through the midfield. With Richmond winning this round a top 2 pick is likely now. If we had beat the Saints and Kangas it would of been pick 5 or 6. Now we are going to get another gun midfielder to go with Reid and Ginbey Chesser and Hewitt. The future Fab 5 and the puzzle is complete.

This season is all about the rebuild. We should ask for priority picks too while we are at it. Clay Hall must debut next week.

Hopefully thats the last of Sheed and Gaff. Can't afford to play both ever again.
