Staker was a passenger, mimimal impact on the game and was subbed off due to lack of match fitness, IMO this will be his final year in AFL.
I disagree to some extent, granted didn't do whole lot with the ball, but structurally he really straightened us up and was regularly positioned fairly well forward of the ball to give the boys a kick down the line

I dont think it is realistic to pay every free when it is raining down like that. Were hundreds of incorrect disposals not being paid by both sides.

Contact below your knees. Equally could be said in the back for the other team. Based purely off the umpires opinion.

Probably right that the standard was shit but it was equal for the most part. I wasn't pissed with them than l normally am every other week.
More even, doesn't make umpiring good. Making the right calls and making sides play by the rules does. Shit umpiring is shit.

I thought Reddo went alright today.
Bit old for it myself but thank god for Man grooming

I don't think he should get a game just because he is a bail-out kick. He has to contribute something. I thought he was very average and made some crucial mistakes. Number 1 thing he has to do if he isn't going to kick goals is to not let his opponent mark the ball and he let McPharlin mark it several times.

Did do some nice tackling tho so there is that.

Fitness and conditioning staff need to be reassesed. Im saying get rid of them just they need something different.

Might pay to do a quick calculation of the 'days break between games' comparison - since the bye all teams have had more days break between games.

Doggies one more days break and we travel to Melbourne.
Crows, two more but we are at home.
Dockers also two more AND we travel to Perth.
And next week... although at home, we travel back from Perth AND the Swans have three more days break.

How? All of crows, dockers and swans come of Thursday games! Now that's some thing to  at.

Bit surprised there's not as much love shown for Rich in the votes as I thought there would be. Very good through our defense while also proved very dangerous on the rebound.

It's weird, at the game he didn't come across as having an overly good game but thinking back now he was reasonable

Great effort today, if we keep this type of effort up the wins will come, personally I thought Aish wasn't to bad, a great shephard in the last QTR for Lewy Taylor's goal.

Our defence is growing so quickly with experience, just love watching them young Andrews will be a pillar in a couple of years. Love it.

Chin up everyone that third win isn't that far away.

No doubt McPharlin took some contested marks on him, but we are talking about someone who when playing forward has generally been the 3rd tall, and he was playing on their premier fullback so you would expect him to be outmarked occasionally.

We havent been able to play consistent 4 quater football for 4-5 years. So blaming the lasts months fixturing is a bit silly. In saying that it gives some explanation to the last 2 weekends.

If you are going to shift the goal posts, now adding over the last 4-5 years then I'll play the young/average age of the team on the field over the same period.

Check mate. :p

Disagree. Thought Staker competed well out there. He worked hard and laid some tackles.... Better than what I thought he'd dish up. I think he was subbed off due to soreness rather than being the worst on the ground. I think on form alone..., Aish was the weakest player today.

A very solid performance. Sure the weather helped but it only helped because we were prepared to lay tackles and work hard in the contest. Even better i thought at times when we won the contest we had a bail out player who was just of the pack. Hopefully this a sign that Leppa's game plan is coming together and the players are getting a better understanding.

Zorko seems to be spending more time through midfield now and as a result has played two very good games back to back. Hopefully he wasn't injured seriously at the end when he got pushed in the back after kicking the ball ( no free kick).

Adcock has been good for us since moving into forward line. No one can ever questions Jed's desire. Always gives 100%.

Even though Staker dropped a chest mark early i thought he was ok. He actually gave us a target and let's face we don't expect much from him now. Just make a contest, crash in and if he can kick a goal or two thats a bonus.

McStay has so much potential but he does need to lead a bit more often and not try to take pack marks from three deep. If we could get someone in like Dixon next year then McStay will relish playing on 2nd or 3rd best defender.

Really liked Jack Reddens game today - but conditions did suit him. He is a tackling machine. Mitch Robinson has been fantastic for the club. Just gives 110% every game and throws himself into every contest. Amazed he hasn't missed a game through injury.

And Dayne Beams what can you say - the guy has been worth every cent. I always thought when he was at the Pies he was good but never realised this good. His work rate is what every other player in our team should aspire too.

Everyone keeps talking about Robinson being a wrecking ball etc... Which he is...

But in the last two games he's been much more.
- He's had good hands below the knees
- his disposals have been damaging
- he's been our major hardball winner
- he's displayed huge on field leadership
- he owned Fyfe for much of the game

His game has gone to a new level. Let's hope this is a permanent move.... I know he wasn't this good at Carlton otherwise they would of cried much harder than they did when we got him free.

Good effort today, I was glad I took the family and it was nice to see some support at the ground for the Lions. The defenders really looked down and out after the first few goals in the last, just needed some experience down there to keep them focussed. I thought Paps was good, and Aish deserved what he is getting having read through a few pages, he really isn't keen to defend a man inside 50 and gives them way too much space. Leuy was great I hope he stays a Lion.

I agree with this as Staker worked hard, he was also keen to take his guy out of play after they got the ball away, his effort was there just a bit rusty.
