I must admit when I was reading your post I thought you meant you were going to unleash a fart to keep warm :D

I thought that was a given.

I'd bring in Macaffer as well.

Freo are short stocked in the ruck as well without Sandi and Griffen, so Grundy in these conditions can handle it alone, with White offering backup.

I thin we need one ore really big body in the midfield. Treloar, Sidebottom and Pendlebury are a bit skinny, and De Goey is still a kid. I would've considered Rupert Wills this week to be honest.

Also, we have Brown, Reid and Marsh down back, so I'd throw Howe forward. We don't need to be overly tall down back against the Dockers. Obviously if we need some cover then Howe can switch back...but at least Cloke and Howe up forward offer us some X Factor.

I'd bring in Toovey and move Howe forward or up onto a wing.

COLLINGWOOD will swing a late change for tonight’s clash against Fremantle should the predicted wet weather set in, with Mason Cox the tall in doubt for the clash at the MCG.

Coach Nathan Buckley named the 211cm American in his team for the match but conceded on Thursday he’s no certainty to play his ninth career game.

He said his inclusion in the final team will be dependent on the conditions, with possible hail and thunderstorms forecast in Melbourne this afternoon.

“I think we’re expecting a one in one hundred year storm given what I’m hearing from the Bureau of Meteorology,” Buckley said. “That’s something we can’t control but he’ll be selected to play, and we expect that unless things get totally out of hand, he’ll play,” Buckley said

News just in.

Really? We have the highest average attendance league wide this year and you're able to spin what would be our lowest home crowd this century and throw in incredible at the same time?! We supposedly have 80,000 members according to Pert!

The Crows v Roos got 38,000 on a Thursday night in similar conditions so 20,000 would be a dismal turnout no matter what way it's spun. I think we'll nudge 30k myself.

I remember attending a game at Waverly that had less than 20,000 people in attendance. Was against North and you could barely see the centre of the ground it rained that hard. People make decisions to go or not for all sorts of reasons, weather a major one.

ridiculous. you never know what could happen. grundy could ping a calf in the warm up. then what? dont name witts as an emergency and we'd look like amateurs

Then you bring Witts in and pay the fine. Or run with Cox and White.

One emergency to cover only one player is foolish because Witts cant cover the other 21.

I'll be there but not really looking forward to it, only 7 degrees at the moment, the G could only be a couple degrees throughout the duration of the game

So how Do I do that?

Just go up to Q and ask an attendant which sections are reserved seats and which are not, then find yourself a seat. There are always sections that aren't reserved seats for most games, and it is usually only the big games that are fully reserved. So in short, a game against Freo at the G will not attract a huge crowd at the best of times so tonight will be no drama.

I'm going and taking my 80 year old father. It's a winter sport after all, not sure what people are expecting.
Respekt to your old man and the rest of you going tonight. I don't mind the weather being shit at the game itself, it's the 90minutes driving each way through rain that I cbf with.

I'm not the greatest of supporters.

It's always nervy waiting to see which team turns up when you are developing a young list.

Will it be the Cat smashing juggernaut... or the other?

It feels like we have the bare minimum of a decent side with Cloke, Brown and Aish in for a few underperformers but wouldn't it be lovely to have Moore Langdon Broomhead Fasolo Adams to add to that squad.

Let alone the long termers: Elliott Swan Ramsay Scharenberg Thomas Keeffe

Whilst that's a valid point, the club could in a sense still play Witts anyway and pay fine, likely afl would say lesser fine as reason for non named ruck to play is injury to selected ruck.
A bit like goal keepers in soccer (world football ;))

Why would be not play Cox, hes best 22 and the future? Get as many games into him as possible. Finals arent possible anyway
