Remember when I posted that I was trading out Rocky before Rd13 and you replied with, "surely it can wait another week?" Well it couldn't and I am 241 points better off for being decisive and trading him out to Marshall when I did, whilst you played a player short 2 weeks in a row. Call it timing, I call it a sliding door moment. Same goes with trading in Logue a week before he even played because I had 18 starters for Rd12 and was thinking a move ahead. No point planning stuff like that 3 weeks+ out as you always brag about because a lot can happen in 3 weeks. Having said that, having Scott wasting away at M11 for as long as you did shouldn't go unpunished.
Conserving trades, seemed an appropriate strategy based on club info .....but each year club info bites me

Scott, not an issue other than trade burn to replace .....the availability of suitable replacements has been the issue ...Gardner  Young  ...yes Rotham  .....but again there was rumors that Hurn may also not play, so that was a similar situation to Rocky

FWIW I only have ZWilliams and Brouch as my only Crows and Giants players. Also Cripps, but so does everyone.

No other premos on the bye

I have the bigger picture in mind
So time will tell whether Kelly, Laird, Sloane, Houli, and Milera can bring me home .....Sicily is a real worry, as Clarko hinted in his presser that the Sicily experiment maynot be over :'(:straining:

I don't know as I have/had a heap of Adelaide & Carlton players. Your starting 22 for instance was stronger than mine pre-byes, but I had less dead rookies than you. Hence I'm going to outscore you by 500-600 points over the byes and turn a 400 point defecit into a 200 point lead. Good times. It was always going to pan out that way as you ignored your cash gen in order to complete your team earlier than others. Hence you've already had your 15 minutes of fame before the byes and not enough trades or cash gen to recover.

Have a look at u.

3 good weeks becomes mod and all like.....

I don't think compromising your team is too difficult during the byes, just planning beforehand with trade in targets, your team balance and rookies to cull. Ive pretty much gotten everyone I wanted to get in bar the ones I couldnt afford (Marshall/J.Kelly).

There are a hell of a lot of points up for grabs in the byes, I should go from around 1.8k to 600, and thats with a man down in Hurn in the first round.
So what are the historical numbers of those Coaches that surge up the rankings during the byes ....about their ability to hold or even improve rankings after the bye ?

Well I couldnt tell you but those in the top 100 would have done well in the byes with great finishing teams. Its very possible.

I plan on getting Sloane and Laird over the coming weeks.

Sic is a worry, but surely you play your AA caliber defender in defence...

You would think so, wouldn't you ......not a fwd's arseh*le

Opposition rucks vs WBD:

Avg: 101

< 90: 5
90 - 120: 5
> 120: 2 (Grundy and Goldstein)

Mixed bag tbh

Elephant in the room is that one of the two who did go large against them is the one they’re playing today.

103 points last start helped me to a 1900+ score in a low scoring bye round so he served his purpose. Traded him to Oliver yesterday and was punished to the tune of 114 points. :)

Crisp, Treloar, Grundy, Macrae and Daniel coming up

Need 442 total to crack 2000
552 total looks achievable to crack 2100

Hope Bont and Dunkley score 50s ;)
