That's the best we've gelled all over the ground in a consistent team performance against strong opposition this year.

The Cats looked a bit cooked from the start. Just weren't up for the challenge tonight as soon as we started hunting them down every time they got a sniff.

The umpiring was at times unfathomable.

We've got genuine competition for spots if Berry can get fit and Birchall on the sidelines tonight.

I'm comfortable with the team we had in or whoever else they might play of the 3 or 4 in waiting.

Our midfield pressure was sublime, but damn I like the balance of that backline. Tough decision to be made when Gardiner is fit. Madden is surprisingly crafty defensively.

Wow . Statement win the bully boys who beat up on a bunch of kids found out the kids are grown up and are not scared

well played all !
Most of the kids out there tonight didn’t play in our previous two games against Geelong.

It was Madden, Dev, Coleman, Prior (plus Zorko and Robinson) who put on the extreme pressure, and contest to contest to tackle. The kids able to put in multiple efforts allows Neale, Rich and McCluggage to hurt teams on the turnover.

Awesome win. That's our best back 6, they took them apart tonight. Fagan pulled Chris Scott's pants down tonight, the guy was completely outcoached

Considering we were getting smashed in contested ball in the first half, to keep Geelong to 3 goals was a very special effort by the defence.

Birchall in for Ah Chee, Jbez for Prior soon and T.Berry and Coleman for the last spot

Birchall played his best game of the year tonight. I’m giving him points and hope he continue the form during the rest of the season

I’ma bad person, but his three premierships Should soothe the wound

After the Melbourne loss (and the Prelim), I recall the overwhelming consensus being that lack of size in the guts was a stark weakness of ours.

How are we feeling about this tonight? Still lacking the Petracca/Danger/Dusty/Wines/Bont presence in the middle, but is it truly a flag-restricting factor?
Less size, more explosion. It's less of an issue when we're able to nullify with insane, persistent pressure. Which we did for a half against Melbourne, but couldn't maintain it.

We can always do with another strong midfielder.

Solid overall team effort, from top to bottom.

Loved our attitude and relentless attack. The sort of win that 2 years ago would have put this board into a meltdown but we're starting to get used to these results now and almost expect them. Great side.

Th difference was we burnt a lot of gas against Melbourne in winning the contested ball whereas tonight we hunted Geelong down and gassed them in the first half just as much if not more than we gassed ourselves.

I think we learnt a bit from the Melbourne game.
