Yes Norf made the first of their “second home” attempts in the late nineties with the intrusion into Sydney. I believe they were trying to capitalise on the Swans big improvement/growing popularity. Was definitely the cause of some angst.

I think the game we played them there in 99 was meant to be scheduled for the Saturday night, but there was some airline issue and the match got rescheduled to the Monday (day), being the Queens Birthday. So of course, most of our supporters couldn’t see the game. I remember, I wasn’t allowed to stay home from school to watch 😂

I'll have my bird beer battered.
Am liking the Ginbey buzz cut! Means business.
Here we are hopefully not picking up where we left off?
Hoping for a much closer competitive loss to suggest we've turned a corner - anything more would be drizzling maple syrup over an ice-cream waffle! (maybe not bacon). Delicious! Anything less would be terribly tedious...
Enough of the injury curse!
Hewett to break out, no pressure kid.

Oscar Allen taking a dump on the SCG does not bode well for the team's performance today.

So far this year every instance of a team coming off a bye against a team that played the previous week has lost (0-5).

Safe to say the odds are well-stacked against us here.

That said, the Swans have been very average with their injuries this year, winning just 3 of their last 11 matches.

If the Eagles can win stoppage dominance, the combination of short ground and undersized Sydney defence could make things interesting.

Still think West Coast will be overrun comprehensively later in the game, but may be far more competitive than expected earlier on.

Something I never would have considered at the start of the season: B.Williams to win the ruck contest against Hickey.
