Round 15 Trades: MBR3

The only thing that is there is using 2 trades:
Currie > 105k rook

and bring in a Rck/Fwd.

With my set up I am going to have to hold and use a trade to sideways trade a Ruck if Gawn or Martin go down. They both have a great injury record..... I thought I had planned quite well with Currie. ahh well.
Yeah I think Ill need to hold and sideways trade later on too. I only have 8 trades left after this week and still need to upgrade Kolodjashnij to Docherty, Greene to Riewoldt and Hams to Neale (via Phillips).. Hopefully I can go into league finals with 7 trades and do the Kolo and Greene trades then leaving me with a couple trades for potential 'early surgeries' for players from bottom teams..

Thats heaps of trades. I am down to 2 now :( I am a passenger so I have no choice. It is the only position on the field I don't have a promo covering, but thought Currie could do his job. My plan failed

Yeah its heaps of trades but my team isnt nearly as strong as yours. At the moment Ive got a couple of players spudding it and not great cover.. need to work out how to best use my trades to make a strong team..

Shaw/Simpson/Boyd/Laird/Rich/Kolodjashnij (Ruggles/S.Collins)
Danger/Pendlebury/T.Mitchell/Hunter/Ablett/Steven/Selwood/Petracca (Trengove/Phillips/Stewart)
Goldy/Gawn (Currie)
Merrett/Zorko/Martin/Montagna/Hall/Greene (Hams/McCarthy)

I'm quite tempted to trade Frost (R3) this week for Gawn and bring in a rookie R/F later on so I can utilise Leuey's DPP.

Which of the cheap Ruck Rookies are most likely to get a game you reckon.
I thought Grimley did alright for the Bombers in the few games I saw him play.

I reckon the best option if you have trades is to get a lycett @ f7 then chol. Thats what i would do if i had the trades to burn

i'm seriously considering 277k Nankervis (ave72 from 2 games) ruck/fwd

with Tippett out he should hold his spot and make an ideal R3 for the rest of the year
Currie -> Nankervis would give me 20 players onfield this week

202k Francis def/mid, 128k Viojo-Rainbow def/mid and 121k Broad def are also on my watchlist
Tucker -> Broad would give me an extra player this week and enough cash to do Barlow -> Dangerfield (locked) next week

Danger is inflated

Really like the Gibbs pick, bit of a smokey. He scored 126 at Spotless, proving he can score well without Murphy. Lets put that into perspective, highest scores by opposition teams at Spotless have been Gunston (92), Hall (98), Picken (107), JPK/Titch (98). Also, Carlton have a good fixture leading to the finals. Only concern is that Carlton are playing BL round 21, Robbo tag is never good.

I really like gibbs aswelll especially when murph is back... Thought maybe nroo maybe be better Gibbs is a good price atm for 106 avg

can't be helped
he's a must-have and finishes off my midfield nicely

is Broad gonna cut the mustard as a D8 ?? can't decide whether to bring him in this week or the week after

Dont bring broad in this week next week or any week wont stay in the team he was a late in for a batch who is back this week

i heard Aaron Francis took 9 intercept marks in the VFL a couple of weeks ago !!!
no.6 draft pick of last year's draft seems ready-made
i could always punt on Tucker -> Francis next week which means i'll field 1 less this week

Could always take the punt on Hemmelman (2 games, B/F), Hipwood (1 game, B/F) or Joyce (3 games, B/C). You know, guys who have already played ;)

It's frightening how few trades some of you guys have left! Going to get awful quiet around here in the weeks to come (except the vent thread, that is going to go off like a frog in a sock!)

I have been weighing up what I do this week. At the moment I am trading two players who are playing this week and keeping one that isn't so as to ensure I have enough money for next weeks trades. Will cost me points this week, but guarantees I can make next weeks trades. Otherwise I could be left stranded next week. Good idea, or should I take the punt on keeping this weeks playing players ?? If that makes sense ??

Not with a premo on every line (bar rucks) as cover ;)

How many are you fielding this week?

What are the trades?

Last week I traded in Franklin even though he was not playing so that I could do my trades this week. I ended up only having 18 and some shite scores killed me. It has set my team up perfectly though for this week and the rest of the season.
It all comes down to strategy and whats best for a combination of points this week but also your team moving forward.

Pre-trades, 20 on the field this week.

I have 8 trades remaining and at the moment am looking at :

Parish -> Phillips
M.Adams -> Hipwood (semi-risky)
Kerridge->Monty

Will mean I can grab either Neale or Hanners next week with one trade, leaving 4 trades remaining.

My forward bench for this week to give me a link with Suckling to give me cash to do the upgrade I want. I am choosing him because he is a better chance at playing out the season over the other mid/fwd's to cover a shit storm.

Though the extra cash of a cheaper player would be nice

Exactly why I want to do it. Hammelman while cheap, is a dud. And the reason I have kept Adams so long is because I had him forward with the dpp link. Would be great to keep it, as it just gives me much better cover.
