Autopsy Round 16, 2024: St.Kilda v Port Adelaide

Heartbreak for Port Adelaide as Hinkley pinches another win. Meanwhile the Saints' hopes for a decent draft pick are alive and well.

Would’ve been happy with a win. Would’ve been happy with a competitive loss.

Scrappy old game, umpiring pretty inexplicable for both teams.

Schoenmaker looks the goods. Hammer competed well down back. Nas, Wood, Sinclair and Marshall reliably impactful.

King frustratingly uncompetitive.

At the very least that professional tanking loss should piss off the port fans, who wouldn’t **** off our board this week ;)

Rather an obvious result, they have a midfield and semi structure in D50 to F50, meanwhile we are almost 100% a D50 rebounder, so it was really always a engineer issue and turnover v stoppage game.

we had means to win it though, with more brains and less skill scuffing, we can hold that last 2 minutes, so it will be considered a winnable game.

Quite a few had down matches that we really need to consider what we're doing forward of centre.

Ahhhhhh what do you do.

Looking at the positives our ball movement looks much better (before we go inside 50)

Hammer looks good down back, even just one pre-season training with the backs will help him immensely.

idk, we should have won that.

Same old story.
Skills not up to up, constantly under pressure and forwards not working hard enough.
Midfield was smashed yet again.
Ordinary spectacle thanks to the inconsistency of the umpires.
Roma forward was a nice win, Sharman also showed some heart.
Wood played his arse off like usual.
Just too many basic errors and lack of confidence.
Back six magical again.
We’re qooked unfortunately
