Guess pace of game might be finding him out but way too early to bag the kid give him a chance to show his skills

We get two midfielders for a host of picks and on pretty good salaries and we’re 18th for centre clearances (down from 2nd) and 10th for stoppage clearances (up from 17th).

I know our midfield performance is more nuanced than these stats and I’m certainly not putting the blame on Taranto and Hopper, but I thought our midfield in the 2023 season would've been top 4-6. We have enough evidence to say that this is far from the case.

I’m still OK with Taranto and Hopper’s acquisition for 4 years, but we clearly wanted to be contenders this year. Makes me wonder what else we could have done to make our midfield one of the best this year because their acquisition wasn’t enough. Or maybe I’m wrong and recruiting one or both of them wasn’t the right move. I don’t really know tbh. Just wondering what it would have taken for us to make the right midfield moves
