I sadly thought for a bit before the game that no Ken, neutral territory and who knows what could happen.

But then i sobered up and realised we do stupid selections, have no structure for getting the ball down the ground and there is no expectation for players to put their body on the line for their spot so why on earth would our players throw everything at a game? They would save some energy for Sunday night at The Rock Bar.

Please Ken Hinkley and crew just leave. Let us rebuild while we still have something to rebuild from.

Just couldn't quite get there today. Who was your best on ground Power fans? Wrong answers only

I really liked Farrell's invisible game of not competing at half forward and then not even kicking the 1 goal he had a chance to kick.

Also enjoyed SPP missing 17 snaps, he almost got a few of them!

Mead was great too, I liked how he fumbled almost everything he went near. Melbourne even tried to gift him a goal and he gave it straight back to them, ha!

But how about MG? Wow, I've never seen such a brilliant display of not winning any contests in all of my life.

Bonner's return to squibdom really impressed me too, I thought he was past that but he sure proved me wrong!

Farrell is basically an absolute potato with one elite weapon. if he averaged 2 goals a game you'd excuse that, but he doesn't. so * him off.

Bonner was back to 2019 Boner.

Wines has had one of the shitter brownlow reigns in recent memory. In danger of becoming Tom Mitchell part 2.

Rozee is too good for us

We could have picked ******* sam de koning instead of mitch spray-giades.

Aliir is just average now

NOT PLAYING AN ACTUAL RUCKMAN DOESNT WORK

houston brought shame on his family, his house, and his career with the most pissweak tackle effort i've ever seen. Imagine if that was Lachie Jones. Neal-Bullen would have been snapped in half.

I don’t think this really had much of an impact in the end. Dixon is probably close to the best ruck we have at the moment (obviously getting games into Hayes would be better but for reasons we’ve missed that chance). We ended up with a clear advantage in the clearances and I thought neither Gawn nor Jackson were particularly more dangerous than Dixon/Finlayson.

Was playing Marshall higher a consequence of needing to rest Dixon and Finlayson deeper in the comparative heat of Alice Springs? Idiot decision that paid predictable dividends, if so.

Agreed. List is not a huge problem it is the drop kicks responsible for coaching the list.

Disappointing. Failed to capitalise in the 3rd quarter and Melbourne punished us for it. SPP had 4 shots at goal for 3 behinds and an out on the full. If he'd kicked a couple of goals it could've been a different result. Dixon held his own against Jackson in the ruck. At the end of the day it was the same story- lack of ability to score enough points. Mead and Georgiades didn't pull their weight.

He hasn’t stood up in a tight game once this year. I don’t want him to be our captain ever.
Ollie should be a 20 possession a week player with 75% of those contested and half clearances. That wouldn’t win Brownlow’s but it would help win games.

Superficially the 1st placed team beat the 12th placed team by 14 points. I guess you could say that is a reasonable effort.

However when you consider that we had more inside 50s, more clearances, more contested possessions etc. it really just comes back to the inability of the club to win entirely winnable games. Melbourne played mostly like shit but still won. That is what good teams do.

Our forward line is a massive problem. So many players who have very little forward craft and talent. Or guys like Georgiades who are talented but horrifically out of form.

I think you have to play Williams for the rest of the year and see what happens. Fantasia ain't coming back this season and might never come back. We need to attempt to unearth some sort of small/medium forwards.

It is that moment when you realise that you have watched ammos play with more heart, desperation and skill that you wonder how the fnck is this allowed to continue on year after year.
