Trades Round 18 Trades

Change of plans.

Looking to offload those not playing.

J Smith to Colin O’R.
Fritsch to Dangerfield.

If Smith returns, then Rice to C O’R.

Have to field Ahern at M8, but with next weeks trades should be able to go to Shuey there.

Then need to find some cash to go Shuey to Macrae.....

So, in another few months my side will be fixed....

or Rocky + Spargo>Macrae? via Danger

Hmm that might be a better option, although Rocky has scored pretty well since I traded him into my team. However, Rocky was moved forward after Gray went down which stiffled his scoring. Might play forward again this week if Gray misses a week?

I have Rocky too and he is on the radar to upgrade because of his inconsistent midfield time, but I have more important issues to deal with ie: NicKnackered, Parker and trying to upgrade DooDoo.

Currently I've done:
- Andrew Brayshaw > O'Riordan via DPP (means I'm just fielding a defender rookie over a mid rookie, but need to generate some downgrade cash somewhere)
- Fritsch > Dangerfield

I was hoping to upgrade Ronke before Fritsch, but based on the BE's I think I need to get rid of Fritsch pretty soon.

Leaves $184k for next week - still haven't regained Laird and will be wanting Macrae soon too.

Save yourself some more coin, Shuey
I was looking at the Shue, though I'm a little concerned with Nic being out and the next three fixtures (and potential tags) being the Bulldogs (Dunkley), North (B. Jacobs), and Freo (Banfield). Shuey obviously has it in him to whoop dat ass, but I'm a lil' howsyafather on him. As an eagles supporter though, would love nothing more than to be wrong.

I understand your concerns, I picked him up two weeks ago so I'm just riding these breakevens until I can turn him into Macrae for bugger all extra $$. He's going to make me 100k in three weeks which is a great return. FWIW I don't think Dunkley will tag, Jacobs missed again with concussion on the weekend and Bailey hasn't been tagging for a few weeks either.

Annoyingly can't go Trac > 170k and Spargo > Macrae with Danger going forward so might get Whitfield this week instead and hope Macrae drops a little bit more this weekend to get him next week as an upgrade on Ahern:

Trac > Whitfield (Sic forward)
Spargo > 170k forward

80k in the bank.

None of my rookies have put on enough cash to get to Macrae though I don't think.. Bloody annoying. Sier and Smith injured too. I'd almost have to cull someone like Sidey.

Plus Gaff is more likely to cop a tag. I'm in your boat so really hoping I can use him to get up to Macrae in a couple of weeks.

Gaff would be tagged before Shuey wouldn't he?

I did think of that, and he's got the form to warrant it, though Gaff can be a hard MFer to stay with at times (not to imply Shuey isn't). Lil' dude loves himself some running. And Shuey is usually more damaging with the ball. Not sure. Six of one, fourteen thousand of the other :drunk:

Yeah true, probably 50/50.
Both carved us up anyway ffs haha.

Yeah fair call/s.

Don't mind me, I'll just... I'll just go back into my cave..

pretty boring for me this week.....NicNat + Big O > Stiffy + Abbot

Will go DooDoo > Macrae next week...injuries permitting:rolleyes:

Have gone Fritsch to Long as a cap boost & he’ll still make money if he holds his spot. Will be someone to turn into a $170k player nearing the end & upgrade the weakest link/s.

Have also gone to Martin for Nic Nat, leaves $294 in the bank. Next week Doedee out & move Brayshaw back to DEF, welcome back Macrae. Will then likely turn Rockliff into Dangerfield & my team is about complete, will only need to do some sideways trades to improve any under performing players and/or injuries. Maybe stronger bench cover too in case players are rested.

1 trade left with 242k in the bank. Not too sure which area to address first...Ideally I wouldn't mind some coin for next week so was thinking a cheaper premo like Heppell who could average 110 from here. Another option could be danger but I'm not sure if he will average higher. Then on the other hand I could get Crae... ahh I'm stuck

Any advice guys? Heres my team

what was the first trade?

Had 166k in the bank, have gone Fritsch and the Bont to Heeney and Danger. Hoping to get Macrae and Laird in for Dahlhaus and Savage over the next two weeks and my team will be just about there!

Spargo > O'Reardon
Ok, so I assume Spargo was Mid? and you moved Brayshaw to make room for O'Riordan? and there was about $40k before the trade?

Not that I'm one to give advice as I'm sure there's lots of guys here much more experienced than me, but I see that you're running with a round 5 type strategy in trying to make as much cash as you can by trading in players that will generate that dough. Reckon that at this time of year should be maximising points by upgrading those rooks that are maxed out to premos. So, two down one up type thing, or double down to a two up next week.

Maybe have a look at leaving Brayshaw back, lose Spargo + Rice > O'Riordan + Shuey

Next week Phillips + ZGL > Franklin + rook

Still gives you a few guys making dosh and the opportunity to upgrade Fritta the next week.

Just my 2c, but gets the rooks off the field.

BTW the teams bones look real good:moustache:

Thanks for bringing me some clarity. I agree with trying to maximize points more so may lock in that Rice > O'Reardon trade.

Do you classify Fritsch as a rookie worth moving on before a Rice or a Phillips who have a little bit of cash left in them (to be used following weeks)? Frittas breakeven is up to 104 now with just a 3 round average of 75 (3 higher than Spargo).

None of us are experts but its great to get some advice and feedback from other coaches, it all helps - appreciate it! :D

guess if you class him as a maxed out rook then yes, depends on whether you think he'll make more points than the others, swings and roundabouts;)
