Been slammed with 2 injuries (Cogs & Fyfe), as I’m still in the top 100 I’ll do the following:

Cogs —> Cripps
Fyfe —> Taranto

Helps my team in no way and wanted to upgrade Worps this week, but will wait another week.

Mids are: Taranto, Gaff, Cripps, Dunkley (WB), Treloar, Brouch, Duncan & Macrae

Wanted to get a POD but other than Yeo no one is really standing out - teams in top 100 are very similar

Jarryd Lyons is owned by just %1 of the competition and averaging 92 for the season which is okay.

But I really love this pick when you start to dig a little deeper. Brisbanes upcoming fixture includes North, Hawks, Bulldogs, Gold Coast, Geelong and Richmond of which 4 are played at home. Lions have won 6 of their 7 games at home in 2019.

In wins this year Lyons is averaging 103.5 with a really decent ceiling and could be a great M8 pod going into the final 6 rounds. Interestingly, it's also worth noting that his average in losses drops to 67 which certainly correlates the overall 2019 average a bit further.

Brought him in around 570k and has been one of my best PODs this season.

A few have said Mayne goes to Whitfield this week based on last week. However, hurn and Whitfield couldn't be further apart when it comes to role and type of player. Hurn sits in the hole and picks off intercept marks in deep defense and hack kicks coming out of the opposition's D50. Whitfield is a two way player who can sustain top end speed for near-on all game, and can play a multitude of roles (attend centre bounces, play off half back, play a higher forward role for stints and kick a couple of goals, start or get on the end of scoring chains etc).

To me, Hurn is the kind of player Mayne can go to based on similar physical attributes but he isn't cut out for a full game on Whitfield. Zac Williams on the other hand could be a possibility to get Mayne. That's the more likely scenario for mine.

Being tagged is both physically and mentally draining. Being pushed around at every stoppages, being tackled every time you touch the ball, having someone talking shit non stop, the ever present hand that's always touching you...

Its players like Whitfield that struggle more than others...

I wouldn't read into that Brayshaw article.. if Melbourne cared about their season they would have changed his role a long time ago, they haven't and they clearly don't give a fu**, season over for the Demons. I wouldn't be touching them

Trading him out so hope so!!

Langlands vs Snelling

Langlands: basement price, DPP, Saints suck and have a decent run, new coach; but could also wait a week

Snelling: better scoring, but better team

Given I can pop Hind into the forwards, I need to drop either Naish (and free up forward slot with Gardner DPP), or Rose. Given two debutants ahead of Rose this week, and plenty back for Tigers, not confident on either, so might as well go for the more expensive option:

Rose -> Snelling (via Hind DPP)
Brayshaw -> Gawn

Will only leave Rozee/Logue on field, and can grab Whit/Daniel/Stewart/other next week.

Think i might get a wee bit daring and try to do a bit of a double cash grab this week (trade down AND low BE) with Cogs and Fyfe out. Should be able to bring in Whit AND Gawn next week with the cash and make some BE coin this week :)

Damn Snelling named.
I said I'd grab him the week he gets named but 2 injured premos need replacing this week and I'm not straight swapping Coniglio for Snelling as a starting mid. Still, he'll score more than Cogs last week.

Imagine having the luxury of moving Hind or Baker forward with their new DPP, trading OUT Corbett and IN Snelling to mid bench.

If I trade Bray out I have to play Answerth for the week because I have Cogs and Hanners to deal with. Can get Cripps and Murphy/Greene/Curnow or Hunter and Murphy. Thoughts?

anyone getting Birchall? I can't sit here with a straight face and have Guthrie in my team when Birchall is 170k less than him.

Thinking
Guthrie to Birchall
Cogs to Cripps
260k for next week when I decide to trade Brayspud again...

or take Murphy instead of Cripps and save myself another 45k....cash will be crucial in getting Hack Jones up to Whitfield
Cripps for me. Now’s not the time to go mid pricers or “hopeful” keepers for the sake of $45k. Time to start finishing teams and although Cripps hasn’t been his best this year, he’s primed for a big finish

Thoughts on Hunter guys? Have Brayshaw and need a cheap guy, already got Cripps. Hunter can be a bit up and down but seems to be benefetting from the Dogs high possession game style. BE of 54 so at worst should get to 700k in a week or two and can then bring in a real uber premo

He's a great option but I think a week too late. Was real juicy at 617 but there's better options priced around him now in my opinion

Bit annoyed with my options this week.
B: Whitfield, Laird, Houli, Lloyd, Rozee, Logue (Egg, Garner)
M: Macrae, Bcrouch, Merret, Rocky, Gaff, Zorko, Fyfe Walsh. (Bewley Dunkley)
Grundy and Gawn (fort Cameron)
F: Dunkley, Boak, Danger, Kelly, Worp, Hanrahan (Gardner and Rose)
149k in the bank

Weighing up two options.
Fyfe, Rozee -> Cripps and Newman/Stewart
Fyfe, Rose -> Taranto and a downgrade leaving 243k next week

3 rookies on field is 3 more than a lot of teams. Whilst we're all sideways trading premos, now's your chance to catch up.
Go your first option or similar as it gets you a stronger side.
If "completed" teams weren't sideways trading since the byes, we'd be fixing up our benches for all green lights and fine tuning in form premos.
I'd love to have been swapping in & out rookies, this week in particular (Can't do Corbett for Snelling cos I've got injured stars to swap)

I really need some help guys. I'm massively stumped this week.

The situation: Coniglio/Fyfe injured.

I have $1.448Million (ie average $724k) for 2x replacements.

I already have Treloar, Gaff, Macrae, both Crouches and Cripps.

Who do I choose?

My option are either
A) Coniglio -> Anyone (Whitfield), and a benchman -> Snelling (field him for a week). Hope Fyfe returns next week or move him on then. Banks a little coin for next week do 1x upgrade and also sideways Fyfe if needed.

B) Coniglio -> Anyone (Whitfield) and Fyfe -> Anyone sub $669k? (Hunter/Fiorini/Sloane/Sidebottom/Heppell/Shiel/Murphy.

C) Coniglio/Fyfe to 2x around $724k ea. ie. Say Zerrett then anyone sub $755k (Duncan/Rocky).

EDIT: I'm leaning towards either B or C as I don't want to go backwards fielding rookies.

I think frontrunners are B) Whitfield/Sidebottom or C) Merrett/Duncan.

Cogs and Fyfe out ->

1. Whitfield and Lyons
2. Dunkley and Cripps

Leaning towards 1, but have massive FOMO on Dunks yet again. And I don't really trust Cripps at the moment. Burnt me too much this year.

Paying for a player at 850k+ is a pretty tough pill to swallow. I've written him off until at least first week of finals. Wish I had held him earlier in the year or got back on the train when he started to remember how to play football again.

Yeh, that's another reason I'm leaning towards 1. Also, overall, Whitfield is still better than Dunks.

And I like the idea of Lyons as a POD.
