Trades Round 18 trades

3rd week in a row of forced trades.

At this point I’m looking at Coniglio to Duncan.

Then probably Shiels to Cripps. Shiels has been a pretty decent cheaper unique for me over the past 7 or so weeks. Was averaging around 100 holding down that last mid spot but has gone two scores in the 70’s the past fortnight.

Going to Cripps actually makes $30k so I think that’s a smart move given I have limited funds.

I feel your pain.

My ranking has really hit a wall.

I think we've officially hit that time of year where everyone's teams are done and we all just tread water till the end.

On a positive note, I'm still seemingly closing the gap (on points anyway) to that top 1000. Haven't given up hope of one last rankings jump. Top 5k doesn't feel like a good enough achievement from the hours I sink into DT haha.

Mate, i'm bloody 19 thousand or so. This is after finishing in the 800-2,000 range four seasons in a row (four seasons!). I've had a shocker year.

Trading out Dunkley and Holding Brayshaw the biggest killer. Injuries to Rockliff, Coniglio (twice), Cripps, Whitfield, Zac Williams, Matt Crouch and Caleb Daniel have really hurt. As well as bad early season upgrades to Newnes and Sheppard. But its the little things I think. Oh well. Onto next season.

I think it’s still possible to move up (and down).

Moving up in the byes was the big jump for me. 10,000 to 5000.

Then I moved up basically 1000 spots each week the two weeks after the byes and that was including a Boak donut.

Was sitting around 2900 going into last week and had a bad one and dropped back to around 3900.

I had some semi uniques in Oliver, Shiels and Neale and Daniel going well and moved up about 1000 a week like I said.

This week Oliver, Neale and Shiels really struggled and I also got the Cogs 0 so I list all 1000 spots from the week before.

So I think it’s still possible to make a move, but obviously have to have a few uniques go well and some of the highly owned guys struggle.

That’s why I’m thinking of bringing in Duncan this week.

Been doing a little bit of homework today before recording tonight and I really love the look of Brad Sheppard.

He has taken 14 marks in a fortnight and has seen a bit of a fantasy return to form where we've seen him consistently pump out 90+ scores. Faces Melbourne this week who gave up 45 more marks to the Bulldogs last week including 13 to Duryea, 8 each to Williams and Crozier who all play defensive roles.

This could also kick start a return to form for Shannon Hurn who still notched up a 77 last weekend despite just 3 marks.

With West Coast having the best fantasy run from now until the end of the season for defenders, you can't go wrong with either. Personally I lean towards Brad Sheppard as he's owned by just 3.1% and could be a massive point of difference going into fantasy finals.

Price ?

had the top 8 mids in the comp. now lost kelly and cogs and their replacements like cripps/fyfe etc. are definitely a tier down.

what's everyone's thoughts on shai Bolton. will he continue to play midfield? Richmond supporters please comment. seems a big risk but so are the likes of ziebell etc.

I have Gardner (season), Hayden (season) and now Flynn (season) on my bench. Along with Naish and Bewley and Xerri (DPP purposes with Clarke). Gibbons and Clarke currently my only playing benchies. Anyone worse off?

Hind was my only scoring bench player last week, so one out of eight....
