Is just Shaw -> Birchall not an option?

Theres no point just leaving shaw rotting on the bench, but i wouldnt want to be using all my trades with so many rounds left.

If you can't afford Shaw -> Birchall then maybe just do Shaw -> S. Martin? or Newman.

I would strongly advise against using all 3 trades though.
I am 30k short of Shaw > Birchall so need to make a downgrade unfortunately, the same would apply to Martin as I only have 10k in the bank. Newman can be done but he doesn't provide the strength of Birchall or Martin..........

OK Boys I need some advice!

I am torn with what to do with my last 3 trades. I have 2 plans.

Option 1.

I.Smith > Talia
Shaw > Birchal
Bartel > any premium mid let's say Mitchell

Option 2.

Mzungu > Winmar (Giving me a bench DPP so I can play Fyfe in the Fwd's and have N Roo on the bench)
Prestia > Fyfe (Giving me a bench premium roving cover for the Mids and forwards)
Shaw > Birchall

Option 3.
Don't trade.

Finish teams would be (In order of average). Blue is the changes. Red is premium cover.

Option 1. (In order of average except for Adcock and Heppell)

Gibbs, Suckling, Birchall, Goddard, Deledio, Fisher, Heppell (Adcock , Jacobs, Toy)

Swan, Mitchell, Boyd, Redden, Hodge, Montagna (Mzungu, Prestia, Callinan)

Cox, Petrie (Vardy, Tippett)

Chapman, Franklin, Pavlich, ROK, Sylvia, Gian, N Roo (Lobbe, Talia, Lynch)

Option 2. (In order of average except for Adcock and Heppell)

Gibbs, Suckling, Birchall, Goddard, Deledio, Fisher, Heppell (Adcock, Jacobs, Toy)

Swan, Boyd, Redden, Hodge, Montagna, Bartel, (I.Smith, Winmar, Callinan)

Cox, Petrie (Vardy, Tippett)

Chapman, Fyfe, Franklin, Pavlich, ROK, Sylvia, Gian (N Roo, Lobbe, Lynch)

Option 3. (In order of average)

Leave my team as it is.

Gibbs, Suckling, Goddard, Deledio, Fisher, Adcock, Heppell (Shaw, Jacobs, Toy)

Swan, Boyd, Redden, Hodge, Montagna, Bartel (I.Smith, Prestia, Callinan)

Cox, Petrie (Vardy, Tippett)

Chapman, Franklin, Pavlich, ROK, Sylvia, Gian, N Roo (Lobbe, Mzungu, Lynch)

If that was my team with 3 trades, I'd sit tight for now. Its a very strong 22. Only trade I would be making is Shaw>Suckling...but you don't even need to do that right now with Heppell averaging 90+ the last 3 weeks.

NRoo should be good for a 95+ average for the remaining 7 rounds. Too good for F8 IMHO. Watch him pump out 120+ this week.

Can bring any forward in this week.

Can't decide between Sylvia (cheap, easy run home during finals), Goodes or ROK (both still have a bye).

I already have most of the other premium forward options.

argh, forget about Suckling
should i pay the big bucks for Broughton or just stick with Adcock ???
Stick with Adcock. Not worth a double trade to get Broughton.

With Suckling out I am now considering trading Montags in so I can swing Goddard back to cover. Would make Duffield my 8th back.

Or do I cover this week with one of ISmith or ZSmith?

And if I were to trade do I trade ISmith and save some cash or Mzungu and use most of my bank?

5 trades, 110k

Hi guys
would love some advice. This is my team right now (5 trades, 286k)

Gibbs, Deledio, Goddard, Enright, Heppell, Broughton, Stanley (Otten, Hibberd, Howard)

Boyd, Swan, Pendles, Mitchell, Ablett, Thompson (Prestia, Bewick, Jacobs)

Cox, Lobbe (Keefe, Tippett)

Goodes, Cloke, Buddy, Sylvia, Petrie, Riewoldt, I Smith (Mzungu, Lynch, C Richardson)

Really not sure where to go from here. I would like to keep a few trades for finals (Gibbs and Heppell due to their byes, will need upgrading). Should I be trading anytime soon though, or just sit tight?

Smith has either peaked in price or might dip a bit and go up again (has a high BE this week). Mzungu can wait a week or so with his low BE, but I was thinking I should trade one of these guys in the next few weeks and keep the other. I am thinking of eventually bringing in Fyfe, or maybe ROK or Pav. Down back, not so sure but I feel I should upgrade one of them.

I don't have any more tough league games until week 1 of the finals.

Any thoughts on a good strategy?

Wouldnt mind another persons opinion...

4 trades with 60K in the bank

Defence - Gibbs, Lids, Goddard, Suckling, Fisher, Adcock, Stanley (Poo, Ottens, Howard)

Thinking of upgrading either poo or ottens to Gram, then switching Gram onto the field for Adcock.

Any thoughts if this is a decent move or a waste of a trade?

I would save your trades unless you're upgrading one of Puopolo or Ottens to a real premium defender than you can count on every week. Don't think you'll gain much from the trade IMO and the backline looks pretty good atm.

5 trades, 9.3k

B: gibbs, deledio, goddard, enright, broughton, lower, puopolo (shaw, hibberd, toy)
M: boyd, pendlebury, swan, mitchell, rockliff, bartel (iles, prestia, i.smith)
R: cox, petrie (hale, keeffe)
F: o'keefe, goodes, pavlich, sylvia, franklin, riewoldt, rioli (mzungu, lobbe, callinan)

I was one trade off completion before shaw. Now I am two

I'm thinking of going i.smith and shaw for gram and one of birchall or s.fisher.

I am crazy for even considering Gram, even at a super discount? Gram for I.Smith would open up my back/mid link, give me a choice between him or lower for D7 and would provide good backup in the midfield. Even if he averages only 75 from here on I think I would be very handy for these reasons. Thoughts?

Is anybody concerned about bringing in Fisher with Gwilt now out for the year?
Seems like Gwilt has been taking the opposition's second tall fwd (Dawson takes the 1st), but with him out, will Fisher have to play a more accountable role at CHB and therefore score less?

^ I am a fan of Mitchell.

1......Heath Shaw to Stefan Martin. Team complete no money and 4 trades left.

2.......Heath Shaw to Talia. Keeping the money and Needing an upgrade later from Hibberd to either Broughton or Suckling.

3.....Sit for 2 weeks and Hope I can afford Shaw to Suckling after Suckling plays a couple more games.

hi i need 1 more forward to complete
i really dont knw who i should go, money is not an issue
either rok or sylvia
i just dunno what do you think

To above: I think they will score very similar for the remainder of the year, but Sylvia is obviously value so I'd go him.

With Suckling out I am now considering trading Montags in so I can swing Goddard back to cover. Or is Fyfe a better option for the extra 40k? Would make Duffield my 8th back.

Or do I cover this week with one of ISmith or ZSmith?

And if I were to trade do I trade ISmith and save some cash or Mzungu and use most of my bank?

5 trades, 110k

Fyfe has a horrid run home. Although he's clearly an elite player, in just his second year, it's something to be mindful of. I'm thinking of gambling on Travis Cloke (Didak upgrade). He's been ripping it up this year, and Collingwood have a far easier run home, except maybe Geelong in Round 24 (which they should still win).

Need some help please! Will be throwing Petrie into the rucks, then:

Knights > Fyfe or ROK
Hibberd > Fisher or Birchall

Any thoughts? Can get any combination of the four, who do you think is best? leaning towards Fyfe and Fisher

Current backs: gibbs, deledio, goddard, broughton, heppell, adcock, stanley (lower, hibberd, golby)
current fwds: pav, goodes, chappy, petrie, buddy, sylvia, Nroo (knights, howe, richardson and lobbe on ruck bench)

I have 5 trades left and thinking of trading out Hibberd to Talia and then bringing in Clome for Didak leaving me with 3 trades for the last 6 rounds. Am I crazy? Somebody please talk me out of this.

Okay
I just traded howe for talia in the forwards to free up cash for any last minute trades

6 trades left
thinking of going harris to either goodes or fyfe in order to open up 3 dp links with mids and forwards

This way should never get a doghnut in either

So my question is who do you think is better Goodes and 29000 or fyfe?
Goodes historically finishes very strongly but this year fyfe has been more consistent

Gibbs, Scotland, Deledio, Goddard, Enright, Rawlings, Stanley .... Suckling, Puopolo, Golby

Boyd, Pendlebury, Swan, Priddis, Ablett, Montanga .... Bartel, Prestia, Callinan

Cox, Griffin .... Lobbe, McCauley

O'Keefe, Johnson, Goodes, Pavlich, Franklin, N.Riewoldt, Lecras .... Smith, Mzungu, Howe

Seeking some advice for my team, 4 trades left,1k in the bank. I kind of want to bench Lecras and have him as back up. Could get Fyfe/Sylvia.

Should I keep Griffin ? 155 two weeks ago says yes, but who knows what will happen when 211 is back.

Or should I hold tight?

I got rid of Smith just now because there's talk of him being the sub + he has a BE of about 90 according to FanFooty, compared to Mzungu's 30 + I think, as you said, Tendai has better JS. :)
