Fagan sounds dejected

Might be ACL

Really hard to enjoy football when we keep watching our gun players go down with ACL injuries. So unlucky.

The only positive spin on an Ashcroft ACL injury is that he already is one of the most diligent and professional players in the AFL.

He’ll do the rehab to the absolute letter.

Very happy with the outcome, we dominated and should have been further in front at three quarter time, it is unrealistic to expect a side as good as the Cats to not get a run on at some stage. The momentum shifter was Starcevich's attempted switch which Cameron intercepted and goaled from, the right decision he just played on too quickly from his mark and gave the Cat a chance to affect the kick. Still we steadied when needed, onwards and upwards.

Fab5- Ah Chee, Neale, McCluggage, Dunkley, Coleman.

Ah Chee must be in seniors for the rest of the season, awesome tonight, stands up in big moments.

Dunkley's holding the ball in the middle late was a probably a game saver.

There was a lot of speculation here ( by me ) about why we should replace Gunston with Ah Chee.

The funny thing is Gunston went a lot better with Ah Chee in there.

I don't think Gunston as the third tall works. The opposition open him up and he doesn't have the athleticism any more.

But as a bit player filling in here and there he has the smarts to be useful, especially if the opposition aren't focused on him as any sort of threat.

Based on my opinion.

We are so much better.

Our team pressure is so much better.

Dunkley has transformed our midfield.

Our backline has gone to a new level.

Joe has become far more consistent.

We have continued to refine our front half press.

Seriously, injecting McKenna and Wilmot and having the luxury of Kiddy as a roaming defender , with Lester showing form beyond whatever envisaged is a completely different look to what we've ever had since Fagan took over . With Payne and Andrews as keys and Starc as a tough back pocket this is a premiership level defence.

We know it doesn't often convert to that but this is as potent a defence as any in the game.
