They were brave early the Lions... but they are just desperately undermanned. They're young, they're inexperienced and a lot of their players don't have the physique that will let them go four quarters against seasoned professionals. So it was a tough ask for them, though they've got a great man at the helm, a great teacher in Justin Leppitsch. This was a tough day at the office for him as well. - Dermott Brereton

At least it wasn't as shitty as last years performance.

Get it? Because last year Rocky and Pa- yeah, it wasn't funny. :(

The whole team stunk today. We don't have many players you can reliably mark a ball.

The only player I thought deserves credit is McGrath. Whilst not damaging his intensity was there.

Where the hell was Bewick tonight??
Christensen at least got the ball in his hands a lot.... The Beams brothers were terrible.

Our players simply haven't delivered on their potential.

Mayes is rubbish atm.
Zorko is horrible.
Lester horrible
Paperone can't put on any weight
Close has gone backwards
Golby can't kick
Aish is no where
Green is missing goals

We don't have our Senior players doing much either.

Redden the only one to deserve a vote even though he didn't run defensively but that's no different to the rest of the team. At least he consistently won the footy for four quarters.

The next month is massive for us!! If we can manage to pinch at least 2 our of the 4 we will be ok. It's still a possibility to win all 4.
Leppa will pump us this week and we will come out and beat the tigs up there!!

Probably didn't have the talent or ability to go with them for 4 quarters, but as soon as we stopped pressuring, lowered our work rate and lost composure they had us on toast.

Why would any neutral want to watch our games.

On Friday night at the presser after the Carlton game, Mick Malthouse struggled to name more than 2 players who are leaders at his club. I'd say we are in the same boat, if you take out the injured players. The second things get tough we seem to give up. Adcock tried to lift as did Martin and Taylor had a go, that's the most positive I can be.

Rockliff and Hanley look to be more than our just best couple of players, we have no heart or guts without them.

Talls at either end are a serious, serious problem and we all know it. As someone said in another thread, glad it's not my job to fix it.

Remember last season we were 1-8 and our one win came against St Kilda by only 3 points. 5 losses by 79+ through the season. Our list isn't that different to the one that went to the MCG and beat Collingwood by 11 goals last year. But consistency and effort are huge problems for us.
