You were wrong on Marshall and Ryder playing in the same team. You should be more like me, never predict anything about any team ever and you are never wrong :D :D ;)
I like the crap I cop when I’m wrong. The fact people waste their time proving I’m wrong excites especially when I know I’m wrong.

Very keen to hear how the ticketing works for people from different categories. I'm group 1 but want to sit with group 3 members

King and Jones IN is the easy decision.

Dmac out is the most obvious out, but after that it becomes a lot harder.

Long very good game and so he is safe.

Webster had a quite a capable game, and would also seem safe.

Paul Hunter not that good against a younger first gamer who posted for him a record disposals for a GWS game in first or seconds, and who also dominated the hitouts. But to go in with only McKernan against Gawn seem unlikely.

Bytel a solid game with 10 tackles showing that he probably did the role that Rats wanted him to do. Seems likely to get the short straw.

Lonie, has worked well with Butler and Higgins to date. Plus kicked a great goal to turn the tide back our way.

Highmore ok, but the Dees will have a taller forward line than GWS, with Gawn also pushing forward. Plus marking conditions will be superb. Carlisle seems to be out of favour, but another true tall key defender makes sense to me.

I wold give Jones run at Sandy if possible, and otherwise for a team that had one of our best wins for a long while, why drop anyone- unchanged

Probably not the right spot but i just had my spy drop in , Ryder is not far away from coming back , at very worst he told me should be good for west coast ,also said Jake is on the nose

Thanks for the update - fingers crossed for next week against the bombers.
Are you saying JC is on the nose as in unpopular, or on the 'nose' as in - nose beers?

Good review from Jake Batchelor about the "depth" players

Last I read you're only able to reserve tickets if you both have a membership. As of what they said then you'd have to buy two tickets when they go on sale to the general public if you want to sit together.

With the increase in numbers that may have changed and it may now be like for the preseason game v Carlton where you could buy additional GA tickets while reserving your free seat with your membership.
Yep. I’m going with the family. 5 AFL members (two youngest kids are only 7 amd 5). My wife isn’t a Saint and not club support. So I could only get 4 tickets. When priority 2 opened, I could buy a single seat in a different section. Not ideal, but we might just have to swap quarter to quarter.

Despite Gawn's potential to dominate, I'd prefer we don't have to carry two blokes to try and curtail him, it's like playing one man short with both McKernan & Hunter so King has to replace one of them for mine… I think McKernan stays as he was more effective in the ruck.

Battle to take on May or Lever, May will probably go to King though.

Jones in for one of McKenzie/Webster/Bytel - though all would be unlucky to miss.

King in for Hunter.

I'd still like Carlisle in, we have a lot of medium defenders but only one genuine tall back in Howard. But its seems very unlikely Jake gets a look in.

It will be interesting if Hannebery & Crouch are available soon. Not sure I'd be dropping one of our genuine forwards if they're combining well, but we may have to.

Battle isnt a defender. He has been playing and training as a forward who goes onto the wing for 2 years now. Only went back twice last season - once in the semi when we had no other options and for the 2nd half against West Coast after the coaches released they had made a grave mistake no playing a 2nd genuine key defender.

You would think they would learn from their mistakes instead of letting history repeat itself.
The least versatile thing about Battle, is the way you categorise him.

Love it! Hope it continues.

Hopefully one of Joyce or Clavarino really steps up their game this year, if Jake remains on the nose and Chip injured.

Joyce 24yo this year and back to playing in defence and going for his marks more. Easy to forget he had 18 and 15 disposals in 2 of his 3 games in 2019 and you'd think he'd be better for another couple of years development.

Feel like we have to read a 50% overcomplimentary fcator into these. Unless they say “killed it”, then it was only meh. A lot of guys seem to improve every week for three years at Sandy 😜

Anyone know how ticketing works? Can I buy tickets for the people I want to go with even though my group of ticketing is earlier than theirs?

I will still refer to Hunter Clark has Hunter but I will now refer to Paul Hunter as Paul.

Its been quietly annoying me for some time that our players get referred to as ...( for example )
Gresham, Jones, Steele, Dunstan, Ross, and Hunter ( meaning Hunter Clark ).

I am enjoying the dilemma that is now forced upon those who do it. :p

Now anyone want to take me up on a $50 bet that Jack doesn't kick the first goal next week. (But i'm not going to tell you which Jack ).
I guess if we play GC we need to refer to Max and Ben.

Pretty good summation.
For me it seems relatively straight forward with "like for like" replacements. i.e midfielder in, Midfielder out. Tall forward in, tall forward out. I am thinking ZJones for Dmac and King for Hunter / mcKernan. Hard to split, but McKernan is a fwd that can ruck a bit, and Hunter is not a fwd nor much better as a ruck. Also dont think he can run out a game with limited preseason. So I am leaning towards Hunter out.
I do like Dmac as the sub though. He has the versatility with his run, marking etc to cover a few positions. I think we would be mad to touch the small defenders based on the GWS effort.
