Well that was a roller-coaster but great win - the first of 2022!

A bizarre game but we came out the maturer side, should’ve been leading the whole way through with a bit more intent and accuracy.

• King was superb, carried us.
• Higgins - well we all knew he’d respond, he’s a gun.
• Battle incredible!
• Tough game for Steele but 13 tackles is nothing to laugh about (he finds a way).
• Our defence in the 4th Qtr was awesome.
• NWM in his first proper game and the kid is going to take an absolute screamer one day, MOTY for sure just you wait. He’s a player, you can just sense it.

We must start well next week, but I think we are gradually warming up nicely. And hopefully we are in good form once we get some key players back. Coaches must crack down on that first half this week.

All in all, an excruciatingly slow start but excellent work tonight boys!!! Go Saints!

and Higgins were immense, Higgins needs to have the confidence to back himself in, I don't like the idea of him getting targeted for not hand balling to Gresham last week.

Crouch was good, DMac was good all game, he was a rare shining light in the first quarter. Seb Ross was good tonight, too. I wonder if the lack of interest in him at the end of last year gave him a bit of a kick up the ass because he's had a good year so far.

I liked Sinclair in the middle, and Hill is at his best when he's not trying to bring the ball out of defence.
