Can't watch the game, so can someone break it down for me? What are we doing different to last week? Or is this a case of GWS being shit?

Im expecting Barass to come out a dominate the 2nd half (if it gets down there!). Reckon angry Simmo will give him a bit of a pasting after that piss weak effort on Hogan. He is quality and will respond.

Running in numbers. Looking to move the ball forward at speed. Attacking the corridor. Bringing some physicality.

It's delicious cheese to 3 seasons of choking on chalk.

Playing on at all costs, attacking the corridor a lot (albeit way more in the first quarter because in that quarter the play on made it so easy to go along the wings untouched).

Shuey got a free kick in a centre bounce and four players ran past for hands.

A lot cleaner and great intent/pressure but there’s a system change that’s clear to see in this one.

Waterman's got to play all year. He's at the level and can play as a proper utility.

I also love Waterman playing forward ruck, it feels like a good fit.

Worst case scenario we find out he's no good and delist. Best case we've got a B22 Swiss Army Knife.
He has his limitations but goal kicking isn't one of them Very reliable set shot, knows his craft.

'The Eagles scored an impressive 8.3 (51) in the second quarter - their highest-scoring second quarter since Round 4, 2018. 53 points is West Coast's fourth-highest-scoring quarter ever against the Giants and their second-highest-scoring quarter ever at Optus Stadium.'

Certainly a damn nice change from the last few years of struggling to score.

Contested possessions: 65-65 (won the quarter by one)

Clearances +5.

-3 in centre clearances, +8 around the ground!!!!!

+36 on disposals but same amount of tackles. 11 tackles inside 50.

**** me.

Intent to hunt the ball is the highest it's been since the WAFL Eagles filled in last year. Moving the ball quickly at all costs but actually have the numbers around the ball to pull it off for once.

Without looking at the stats it feels like we are handballing much more and a lot are forward to playing essentially cheating and running from the contest/ backing team mates to win the contest.

Shuey had a free at a CB and half the back line ran by four a handball.

Fair to say they've answered the 2nd qtr fade out from last game!!
Looking good, things starting to connect - dare I say the synergy is growing as the game goes on?
Hewett on the next treat...
